My self-summary
I like telling jokes that don't really have punchlines to people I've never met before. wanna hear one? okay.

so this one time my friend and I are walking down the street, and sitting on this nearby shrubbery is what to this day is the strangest looking bug I've ever seen. wings, legs, stripes, all the peculiarities in the entirety of the insect kingdom contained in this one slightly-too-large-for-comfort bug. so my friend turns to me and says "I'll give you a dollar if you eat that bug." I turned to him, said "no," and my friend asked me, "why not?"

I then replied: "...because I don't want to eat a bug."

I know, I know, it's not funny. but for some reason I giggle like a schoolgirl every time. On a more serious note, I actually am very much down with smiles.

I've also attempted knitting, t-shirt design, baking, and rocking, with varying degrees of success.

I am repetitive, redundant, and repetitious
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it? Enjoying it.

I work for a very small startup.

When I'm not on the clock, I'm running around doing something or other. Eating is usually involved. Sleeping is great when it happens.

Be forewarned: I'm currently living the polyamorous lifestyle, in case that's a dealbreaker for you.

I’m really good at
winning bar trivia nights, baking funfetti, making pop culture references, enjoying karaoke, making mixes, snuggling cats, socializing.
The first things people usually notice about me
knowing this site, the first thing people notice about me is my profile pics.

as for outside the confines of this site.... my friend suggested I use the word zest, which is better than my phony idea of "my horrible goiter". I've been told I'm very outgoing, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like books by Arthur C. Clarke, Graeme Base, Hunter S. Thompson, Dave Eggers, Harlan Ellison, Douglas Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Chuck Palahniuk, but I find myself getting over him with age. I also really like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Since getting an iPad, I've gotten into comic books like woah. You name it, I'm probably down with it. Try me.

A year or two ago I started to read all the James Bond novels, in order. Fourteen in total. It's got pretty tough to finish - they're REALLY racist. Yikes. I switched to H.P. Lovecraft for a bit, but he's also pretty racist. Old books, man. Old books.

Movies? The Big Lebowski, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, In Bruges, The Lobster, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind jump to the forefront, but to get a little obscure, I also like either version of Metropolis, Being There, Island Claws, Robot Monster, Electric Dragon 80000 V, and my favorite of all bizarre movies, PUTNEY SWOPE. seriously, watch it. oh, plus all the standard stuff, you know. (Kubrick, Tarantino, Aronofsky, Burton, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Romero, Lynch, the Coen brothers, the Farrelly brothers, Kevin Smith, Spike Lee, Wes Anderson, Troma movies, etc.)

MUSIC is the best.
my headphones : they saved my life.

food: pizza, tacos, stir-fry, thai, sushi, other japanese (especially gyoza), chicken cutlets with couscous and peas and carrots, gyros (no tzatziki), jello, funfetti cake. Remember Roy Rogers? That cornbread, my god.

awesomeness not mentioned: Doctor Who, cartoons, board games, old school video games, and occasionally anime (yeah I said it. sue me.)
Six things I could never do without
physiological regularity, safety, love/belonging, esteem, self-actualization, tetris attack. For more information, consult Maslow and/or Yoshi.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how I don't spend a lot of time thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
playing it by ear.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
when I was a kid, my favorite color was hot pink. true story.

Also I have a horrible goiter that obscures most of my face. Check my pictures, you'll see what's up.

ALSO, AT THE TIME OF THIS UPDATING, I REALLY WANT WHITE CASTLE. That's nothing to be ashamed of though.
You should message me if
you don't sleep; you know how to converse; you have music for me to listen to; you would like some stir-fry; you would like to dance
