i am an interested in a thousand things: stars, cooking, culture, dance, languages, stories, animals, plants, origami, literature, ghost stories, meditation, and the mind. it's important to me to grow and feel connected to people and things around me. so making beautiful things and sharing them is at the heart of all i do.

books: zen stuff by pema chodron, cheri huber, and charlotte beck. southern gothic stuff like flannery o'connor and cormac mccarthy. kid's books by shel silverstein.

movies: harold and maude

music: motown. iron and wine, tori amos, cat power, radiohead, christopher o'riley, clint mansell and mellow folks who sit at pianos alone.

food: thai, italian, chick'n and waffles!

in elementary school i got tested for gifted and put into speech instead. ouch. the whole time i thought i'd be leaving class to play chess with the smart kids, they had me in a cubicle trying to pronounce "thistle" and "whistle" without sounding gay.

i don't lisp and i don't play chess either.
