Activities: A decently brewed cup of joe with a great friend. A well written book and a pen in hand to underline the best parts. Attempting hardware projects just to prove that I can. Pretending that I'm a local. On foot with my camera. Closing my eyes and hypothetically dreaming unknown futures to the sounds I hear of the present. [Feel free to stop reading at any time]. Summer afternoons listening to my grandparents share stories from the past. Mailing polaroids anonymously to random addresses with lines from great poets written on them. Taking things apart just to see how they work. Reading bedtime stories while performing the voices. Playing for solids because I really like stripes. Talking to the house plants in hopes they will grow stronger. Non-obtrusively viewing someone else's existence. Night swimming in a darkened pool lit by the stars. Conjuring jokes about the wicked. Watching the taillights drive away and pondering where they go. Secretly touching the museum art pieces. Experiencing life in slow motion with my headphones on as if it all has a continous soundtrack.
Interests: Philosophy. Black and White films. The French Revolution. Photography. The books on a shelf of another's library. Unplanned road trips. Trees. Postcards. Feeling another's laughter. Impressionism. Handwritten letters. Unknown artists. Subtitles. Printmaking. The Beat Generation. Numb fingers holding cold chess pieces. The shape of the clouds. Sporadically passionate kissing. Small cities trapped in a snow globe. Unsung heroes. Obscure individuals that have changed humanity...
I'm several years into researching the theoretical relationship between photography & death... this means I'm usually found with a book in one hand and a red pencil in the other; whether in line at the DMV or at home on the sofa.
