My self-summary
I believe in tolerance, kindness, equality, trust, and forgiveness. I am intelligent, open, kind, and quiet - even online. I like to make people happy.

I am passionate about everything mysterious and unknown - I love to study and learn about physics because in learning about physics I am learning about everything, on the most fundamental level. I live for that feeling of wonder that the world, in all its strangeness and beauty, can often inspire.

I'm a little insecure about making a profile like this in the first place - I don't really know what to say, and online communication is not my forte. However, I really would like to have this chance to get to know you and make new friends, and if I missed something feel free to ask me questions!
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics at Coe College, with an added emphasis in chemistry and computer science. If I could, though, I would have about a dozen majors, including music, theatre, psychology, and sociology. I am involved with many activities, including theatre (and technical theatre), choir, environmental club, and physics and chem club. I am currently studying abroad at IYTE near Izmir, Turkey.

After college I plan to take a year off and find a job in physics - take a break, get some work experience, and pay off some of my student loans. I'll also be looking at grad schools, and the year after I plan to attend to earn a Doctorate in theoretical physics and become a full time researcher or theoretician in quantum physics and/ or astrophysics.
I’m really good at
- I am an avid reader.
- I greatly enjoy singing and acting, and have a lot of experience in both.
- I am very good at listening.
- I enjoy problem-solving, in almost any form.
- I don't cook a lot, but I am very good at cooking the things that I do cook.
- I am good at gaming, particularly as regards d&d and LARPing.
- I am very good at focusing on one thing, though it is sometimes at the expense of other things I should be spending my time on.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I appear very quiet and reserved.
That I am intelligent, calm, and passionate.

Six things I could never do without
- motivation
- communication
- new ideas
- the opportunity to learn
- somebody I care about
- my glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Physics and fiction and friendships and feelings.

And alliteration, apparently...
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing homework, hanging out with friends, or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am not actually bisexual. The closest I can describe my orientation is asexual, panromantic, and polyamorous. Take your normal, monogamous relationship; take out the sex, but keep the trust and companionship and intimacy, physical and emotional - that is basically the relationship I would like to have with almost all the people I call "friend". This is extremely difficult and isolating, because nobody else I know feels the same way, and I am bad at communicating this sort of thing in the first place.

This does not necessarily mean I would not have sex with a partner, or would not enter a monogamous relationship - it just means there would have to be a strong emotional relationship first.
