My self-summary
Hi, I am Scottish and moved to Vienna 18 months ago.

I am a lawyer here, and love wandering round this beautiful city. But it would be nice to share my time here with people.

I love books and cafes, I love walking round the city and exploring it. I am excited at decorating my apartment and making it my place. My furniture has arrived now and its looking better.

After a long winter its so good to see summer here finally! Lovely blue skies and warm evenings. Makes it such a nice place to sit outside with a glass of wine...

On holiday in Dubrovnik. Such a beautiful city! Lots of nice bars and restaurants, too. Best get on a diet when I get back to Vienna....

Summer is here and want to get out in the country. Went to carinthia recently and liked it a lot. Would love to go on a short walking trip sometime...
What I’m doing with my life
Hmm... I am loving being in Vienna, enjoying my job, and learning German. Well, maybe not the last one! Ha ha!

My philosophy is summed up in a line from Spinal Tap: Have a good time, all of the time.
I’m really good at
... being a frendly person who is good company. And having fun. And finding new things.
The first things people usually notice about me
... is my charming manner and accent. I am quite flirtatious.

Not sure. You have to tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Steinbeck, Orwell, Ian McEwan, History books, etc.

Movies? Tarrantino, Scorcese, De Niro, that sort of thing. Or good comedy like Groundhog Day.

Music? Music to make you think, love, and dance. So, Bob Dylan, Beatles, techno, The Smiths, Radiohead, Belle and Sebastian, Johnnny Cash, Four Tet, Boards of Canada, New Order... Am intereted in hearing more classical music. I heard some Stravinsky recently and thought it captivating

As for food, I really like Italian and a spicy Indian.
Six things I could never do without
Music, Books, Drinks, Cigarettes, and my parents and son
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I got to Vienna, where I have been in my life, and how to have fun. And work.... boo...!
On a typical Friday night I am
In Loos bar, with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmm.... I did once **** * ***
You should message me if
you want to have a good laugh with an expat!
