My self-summary
Hi gentlemen. I just moved to Chicago (Andersonville) after living in San Francisco for almost fourteen years. By day I'm a mild-mannered copywriter. By night I'm a just your average guy who likes America's Test Kitchen, red wine, spending time with friends, and the occasional video game. I'm originally from the Bible Belt, but don't let that scare you. I managed to escape without the brainwashing. However, I do love good fried chicken, and I find the southern drawl extremely hot. Alas, I don't have one. One day I hope to have a little zombie-proof (both rage and slow moving) cabin ion the woods of my very own.

ISTJ if you're wondering, and it's uncanny how accurate it is.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a copywriter at an advertising agency. I'm also on a quest for the perfect chair...and the right guy who looks hot sitting in it while holding a snifter of bourbon.
I’m really good at
I'm quick with a turn of phrase or a witty quip. I'm also getting better at remembering to water my plant.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've heard my smile, but that can't possibly be true.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Here goes...

Books: Wool, Peace War, Marooned In Real Time, The Singularity is Near.

Movies: The Fountain, Alien, Lost Boys, Rushmore, Legend.

Music: Beach House, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Youth Lagoon, Fountains of Wayne, First Aid Kit, and lots of classic rock.

TV: Archer, America's Test Kitchen, Real Time with Bill Maher, Mad Men, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Battlestar Galactica.

Food: Yes, bring me all the food.
Six things I could never do without
A good laugh
Spicy food
My kindle
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Food, my cabin in the country (the zombie-proof one), guys, the future, and whether or not to use serial commas.
On a typical Friday night I am
Unwinding with a book, unwinding at dinner with friends, or unwinding with some sort of gin drink during happy hour.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm one of those freaks who would rather be cold than hot.
You should message me if
You feel like meeeting for a drink, a taco, a walk, or some sort of taco-eating-drink while-walking-and-talking combo. Surprise me.

I'm quick to meet in person if there's mutual interest. An hour face-to-face can tell you so much more than weeks of sending messages to each other.
