My self-summary
My name is James and I'm kind of a nerd.
Where to begin...
Born and raised just outside of our little Podunk town. I lived in Orange County for a few years after high school. Attended UCI for a while studying Information and Computer Science but had to put that on hold due to family and financial problems. Last year, I moved back home to help out the family. Some people get bitter about having to come back, I was not one of them. There's a tired saying about taking the boy out of the country that rings true. Now that I'm back, I'm doing my best to live up to my potential.
What I’m doing with my life
Just left a job in retail to study for a career in IT/Networking. Was working at the local Walmart as the cellphone person, now working at the Buck Shaffer auditorium.
I’m really good at
Accents, voices. Assessing a situation and providing a decent course of action/problem solving. Being tall.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I dabble in a few hobbies: reading books (political, historical, and fiction), comics, video games (playing them and industry news), and keeping up with the news of the day.

Top five in no particular order.

Movies:
Die Hard (Also the best Christmas movie of all time), Hot Fuzz, Pacific Rim, The Mummy, Ghostbusters.

TV:
Battlestar Galactica (03), Stargate SG-1, Gravity Falls, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Fringe

Books/Comics:
Hellboy (Mike Mignola), Applied Economics (Thomas Sowell), Liberal Fascism (Jonah Goldberg), Arguing with Idiots (Glenn Beck), The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien)

Music:
Led Zeppelin, Journey, Daft Punk, Mega Drive, Power Glove.

Food:
Cashews, Pizza, Burritos, Pesto Chicken Alfredo, Cheese Cake.
The six things I could never do without
Free will
Newton's Laws of Thermodynamics
Self government
The Hubble Constant
Sci-fi
Quoting Hot Fuzz (No luck catching them killers, eh?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My one wish would be to explore the galaxy on a ship with interesting people and aliens. Exploring ancient space ruins, fighting space pirates, cracking wise. The whole shebang. Does putting space before each noun make things sound more exciting and exotic? I think so.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friends playing a board game or at home with my sister watching some terrible movie from MST3k.
You should message me if
You've got a good opening line involving a pun. I love puns.

Or if you just want to say hello, that's nice too.
