To gather inspiration from more experienced and hopefully inspire less experienced.
I am quite sure we are heading to interesting times and I guess more and more people are finally able to figure it out....So skills I like to practice - gardening with strong aspect of sustainability - will be certainly very helpful, if nothing else, I want to have under my control what am I eating. And I am pretty sure there are enough people who prefer local products over some kind of anonymous tasteless junk.;)
So I would love to find how to work in agriculture in a way that is making enough profit to being able to expand by actual working in this sector and not by transferring resources from outside job, which is of course happening now:) and meanwhile being sustainable by not exhausting land I have but making the opposite, making it better than it was before I aquired it. Starting idea is, that this might be possible by proper combination of intensive and extensive ways of working with land. So I have many theoretical ideas, all I need is to to make it real. We will see in the future.
Update: And future is almost here..recently I switched my job to part time mode. I am pretty modest, but yes l need some cash from the outside source... And so I have much much more time for gathering of agriculture experience and doing some more or less "weird" experiments and so on...
Relliance of the Traveller - really interesting source about islam - best way how to find out things about islam is to read sources written by muslims for muslims:) Another of this sort is Quran:) Also recommendable :) Truth is that in the past I tried to study this religion a lot, but I have changed my priorities and now I am following it just as a bit meaningless and weird hobby...:) Anyway I would bet that of all major and global religions this one is by far the most stupid...well what can you expect when its founder was such a weirdo like Muhammad:p
Music - classical, jazz, folk, rock, metal and its variations. You can find most of my favorite bands via progarchives:)
I try to do not eat too much meat and junkfood, but in this case my willpower often fails me:)
I have to admit that is really nice to buy and read books about permaculture, but to practice it is another matter. I am afraid that under current conditions I will be able just to use some aspects of it, not system as a whole.
Anyway I think even practicing some aspects is better than nothing :)
