My self-summary
"Welcome To My World"

Welcome to my world
Won't you come on in
Miracles I guess
Still happen now and then

Step into my heart
And leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world
Built with you in mind

Knock and the door will open
Seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this world of mine

I'll be waiting here
With my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you
Welcome to my world

To all you wonderful guys out there:
Give a little more and you'll likely get a lot more.
Give nothing, expect nothing in return...😊

Writing an essay about yourself can be daunting, like walking a fine line between expressing yourself while trying not to seem self praising. But it's okay to be proud of your accomplishments. And they can be many.
Some people never realize their own potential, never
believe you don't have the power within yourself to
make your dreams come true.

"Those who think they can do something and those who
think they can't, are both right"

Raising 3 kids to be successful in life with 3 grand kids to complement them, is something all parents can be proud of.
Life is a journey with many stops along the way. Some happy times, some not. "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall"
We have all heard this phrase before. A time to cry and a time to laugh. But here's the best part: "After The Rain Comes The Sun"

You can't appreciate the good times without knowing some,
well, not so good times.

All the usual clichés. But they are all actually true. It has been said, there are no mistakes in life, only lessons learned. Hmm, not sure about this one but the wise one who coined this phrase more than likely knows better than most and is probably right. Would have loved to meet him/her.

Originally from Connecticut but moved to south Florida in 1982. Never regretted the move. Got tired of the cold weather and longed for the warm climate of sunny south Florida. So here I am and loving every minute. Though not a sun worshiper, I do love the casual lifestyle here. It's calm and relaxed with always something different to do.

Growing up in a family of sports lovers, I had the choice to remain clueless about what a touchdown was and why you had to scream when your team got one, so I figured I had to learn the sports lingo.
Football, Baseball, Basketball, enjoy them all. I became a big fan. Ha, who knew?

Then there is Greyhound dog racing. I learned to love this sport on my own. I work with these amazing athletes, they all have their own personalities, just like humans. They are smart, hard working and so entertaining. They are more fun to be around than some humans. LOL

I keep up with current events, National and International. I have interest in what is happening in the world around me. I soon learned to get involved and formed my own opinions.
Opinions don't always mean you are right.
Reasonable minds can disagree. The opinions of others should always be respected.
What I’m doing with my life
Living and enjoying it as much as possible. Life should be simple
because simple is always best. Chaos causes stress and anxiety.
Two things I try to keep out of my life.
I'd rather be happy. Life is too short to be sad and unhappy.
Happiness or misery depends mostly on ourselves.
The choice is ours.

I’m really good at
Home cooking (mostly Italian) Being organized but not neurotic about it. Great conversation on most all topics. I am a good friend and always treat others with respect. Able to solve problems and willing to spend the time that is necessary to get things done. I try not to put things off till tomorrow when I can get them done today.
Procrastinators, I forgive you because I realize we are all different and not everyone is organized and I forgive that too because there may be some things I do that you may not like, so please be kind and forgive me for my shortcomings.
Oh, one more thing. I love to write. it's my passion and I can be very creative, (was amateur) but made my transition to semi- professional. Having the time of my life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm friendly and it's easy for me to start a conversation with most

I spend a lot of time thinking about
My family and their well being. My health. Keeping my home in order and just enjoying my life. Also important to me is finding my ideal partner to share all the joys that life has to offer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Planning my weekend. Surfing the web looking for you.
Enjoying a quiet evening at home, listening to great music or watching my favorite TV show.
I am a romantic, love to cuddle and be close to my partner for warm kisses, great conversations and getting to know him. Playful banter with my partner is one of my favorite things. I would love to entertain him by being witty and funny. Most of all, I want to make a difference in his life while he makes a difference in mine.
