My self-summary
I'll be in Berlin from 29.09 until 02.10, (for a conference if you're curious, I feel disgustingly adult), it would be great to find someone to explore the city and hang around with.

Well let's see, I am Irish, currently living in Zurich while I am studying for my masters degree.
I'm quite sarcastic, but it's more the lovable scamp sort of way rather than than anything scathing.
I love going to the gym, and cycling, but I hate most other cyclists, seriously, I can see why most motorists despise them.
I studied Microbiology in college and I still have a huge interest in Science, in Zurich I will again be studying Microbiology, I'm so imaginative.
I enjoy conversation, most subjects really as long as it's engaging.
My favourite word is probably disambiguation, great word; seriously, say it, it just rolls off the tongue.
I read quite a lot, I never thought I could love e readers but I don't think I'm ever going back.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to Switzerland for some reason.
I'm still not quite sure how it happened. But anyway, here I am, and I'm determined to make the best of it.
It does seem rather lovely so far.
Apparently I like it enough to stay in it, but not quite in the same place.
I’m really good at
Drunken cycling (to my shame, and the consternation of the police)
making terrible (but at the same time excellent) puns, they're guaranteed to either make you laugh or groan, it can actually be quite conflicting.
procrastinating
doing The Times crossword
making shortbread
The first things people usually notice about me
Despite living in Ireland my whole life I seem to have ended up with a decidedly British accent, and yes I've have had to explain to every Irish person I have ever met that I am in fact from the same country as them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
Scott Pilgrim, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, George Orwell, Fantasy in general, The Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire
favourite book: Catch 22, followed by Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.

I'm very much into music, I play the piano, and listen mostly to music unplayable on it, silly childhood choices.
I listen to Prog, Metal, Classical and some other sorts of rock.
Opeth, Mastodon, Porcupine Tree, The Mars Volta, Genesis, The Black Mages, Enslaved; to name a few.
Steven Wilson is a veritable God of music.
I have recently come to the conclusion that I am somewhat of a musical hipster and anxiously await the day I begin to exhibit the other signs of this insidious condition.

Movies and shows: it's tempting here just to copy everything off facebook, but that's cheating so I won't.
Favourite film: the infinitely quotable Withnail and I.

Special mention: The Room.
I would list more but this section is off puttingly-large as it is.
I like anime and random tv shows, I'm currently watching, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Cowboy Bebop, Breaking Bad, A Game of Thrones, Community, Doctor Who, Better Off Ted, Venture Bros, Seinfeld, Pushing Daisies etc.
If you haven't seen Peep Show or Arrested Development then I will tell you to watch them at some stage.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter
Friends
Tea
Music
Science
The internet
While drunkenly listening to Black Metal I decided Black Metal.
So Black Metal apparently.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life
Where I'm going to be in two years.
On a typical Friday night I am
out with friends, in the pub, watching a movie.,
Not all at the same time, although I've heard worse ideas.
I'm trying to avoid clichés here but there is no such thing as a typical Friday night. (curses)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away.

I have a big weakness for piercings.
You should message me if
you are involved in science somehow
or if you want to have a good laugh at my fledgling attempts at French (and German now in fact, oh dear).
Or, more importantly, you like metal and going to concerts, I haven't met anyone to do this with yet.
