My self-summary
The last time I did 'this', a very handsome 'doctor' e mailed me. The attrocious english should have been a clue in the first e mail. A second e mail with a (very) private 'picture' should have sent me running for the hills and by the 3d e mail he was proclaiming that he was so in love with me he was ready to...........move from Tajikistan to be with me!
So, other than finding Tajik doctors to fall violently in love with (me) I'm pretty normal - a bit on the studious side (ie, geek). Enjoy reading (a lot), traveling etc etc.
I like to jog (try to daily) and love music (was a music minor in school). Love choral, orchestral, piano, cello and oboe!

I am shy, at first, not from around here, and geeky
What I’m doing with my life
Working for the most part. Trying to patch together some semblance of a social life, when I'm not at the office.
I’m really good at
Reading (yes, seriously). I love it........Not the boring stuff (forecast models, reports etc) but fiction (mainly)....NYT and London Times best seller stuff.
Talking, after you get to know me.....(like can't shut me up at 0300 at times). Its a shame really because I'm pretty shy at first and most people think I'm either standoffish/snobbish or mildy retarded (sans drooling)
Being a good corporate slave (as in sold out years ago)......This is not something to make as one's goal, btw.
Traveling: as in traveling to bizarre places and often alone.
The first things people usually notice about me
my accent (slowly becoming more American).
(blushing): blue eyes
(lead on from the first thing) The fact that I'm not from around here.
That when I'm nervous I can have a tendency to just not answer the question really stumble on a basic 101 question (solidifying the retarded theory from a previous question).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Wuthering Heights, The Poisonwood Bible, Of Love and Shadows, Pride and Prejudice, Saturday, Brick Lane, The God of Small Things, The Country Life, Brooklyn, The stories of Eva Luna, The Bean Trees, Love in the time of Cholera, A Fine Balance (list goes on and on). Feel free to follow my list on
Movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I really do like some independent movies (like going to any of the film festivals at The High)
Music: Mainly Baroque and Classical (Pergolessi, Haydn, Handel) but wil listen to just about anything.
Six things I could never do without
my family
what's left of my sanity
my secondary school copy of Wuthering Heights
my passport
(most) my friends
my jump drive....but if I'm stuck on a desert island that's a little redundant.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work, escaping from work, escaping (period), travel, books, my career, the famous book I'm going to write
On a typical Friday night I am
Exhausted mainly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
well, my second head I have growing out of my armpit.
Eh, you are kidding, right? I'm still in therapy over that school incident.
You should message me if
you're funny, you know that Jane Austen isn't an actress, would like to say hello (or something more inspiring). Have some grasp of correct grammar/syntax. In general, if you're a nice person.
