My self-summary
I'm very honest and open. I have the INTJ/INTP personality type.

Science, rationality, and skeptical thinking are important to me. I enjoy podcasts like the Skeptics Guide to the Universe and Rationally Speaking.

Things I like to do for fun: reading, board games, jogging/going to the gym, cryptocurrency trading, downhill skiing, hanging out at coffee shops. Recently started contra dance and swing dance.

My website is www.moreisdifferent.com

I notice a lot of poly people around DC on OKC, so for what it's worth I'll mention I am sympathetic to polyamory. However I haven't been able to realize it/ experience it in my own life yet, though.
What I’m doing with my life
Transitioning into research in machine learning at the University of Maryland, College Park
I’m really good at
Thinking skeptically and analytically. Other things - pointing out constellations, judging the monetary value of used books, keeping myself spatially oriented.

I'm pretty humble about my abilities otherwise.
The first things people usually notice about me
Obviously people notice that I'm white, have glasses and male, and then make some judgement. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
One of my favorite books is "The Great Gatsby", which I've read three times.

Some of my other favorite books are "Neuromancer", "Snow Crash", "The Moon is Harsh Mistress", and "Cat's Cradle". I like hard sci-fi and cyberpunk/transhumanist fiction.

A few of my favorite movies are "Blade Runner", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Dr. Strangelove".

I've listened to a very wide variety of music over the years. Right now I listen to a lot of ambient electronica and post rock.

Some random bands that I like are Imogen Heap, Noah and the Whale, Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip, Crystal Castles, CHVRCHES, Metric, Third Eye Blind, Russian Circles, God is an Astronaut, The Postal Service...
Six things I could never do without
My glasses , my watch, my phone, adequate blood sugar, adequate sleep, and water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
when my 'monkey brain' isn't bothering me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7Foam6oKPI), I tend to think a lot about technology and how it effects society, self-improvement stuff, the future of humanity (singularity, etc)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used the Blendr app, it sucked.
