My self-summary
You've seen my pictures, you know I am a geek; I know that I am a geek. A lovable geek with a heart of gold, which might have just a little tarnish on it. I have an outgoing personality mixed in with a dark sense of humor. Being raised in Texas left me with a healthy dose of southern charm and a bit of an accent.

What I am looking for: A fun loving woman with a great smile who projects an unassuming confidence and a hint of mischievousness.

Distance is not a factor for me, my career as a software engineer allows me to work anywhere I want. I am not tied to any office in any city. All I need is a decent internet connection.
What I’m doing with my life
The boring stuff: I write software applications for medical research groups. I think I am one of the fortunate few that has a career doing something they love to do.

The not-so-boring: Traveling around has become a new passion, along with it came an interest in photography.
I’m really good at
-Keeping track of six stories in a single conversation

-Making meaningful observations about trivial events

-Driving up to 21 hours, stopping only for gas, in order to get a head start on a long road trip (on hour 22 I tend to get cabin fever)

-Making other people look really tan in group pictures

-Not worrying about the little things
The first things people usually notice about me
I can be a tad bit sarcastic

...oh, and that I am kind of pale, borderline translucent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Will Ferrell is my personal hero. I love movies that can leave you with a mixed sense of emotions (Donnie Darko, Enemy, Memento, Irreversible). And I'll be first in line for anything directed by Terrence Malick or Christopher Nolan. I can be coerced into going to see the latest rom-com as long as the next one can be a twisted horror flick.

TV: The Walking Dead, The Leftovers, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Game of Thrones, Key and Peele, The Big Bang Theory, True Detective, House of Cards, Humans, @Midnight

Music: 90's grunge gives me that nice nostalgic feeling. Even though I lived in Nashville for 12 years, modern country is rarely in my rotation. Although some of the old stuff and especially bluegrass speaks to my soul. Southern Rock is my jam, man. I even like Lana Del Rey, look deep into your own playlist before you start to judge me on that.

Food: I'll try anything once. Except Indian food, already tried it and that was a big pile of Nope. Feel free to convince me otherwise.
The six things I could never do without
1. Sunscreen
2. Weekend getaways
3. WiFi (my job kind of depends on it)
4. My camera
5. Good traveling company
6. Wikipedia
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. I have a rather over active imagination so whether or not this is time well spent could be brought into question.
On a typical Friday night I am
Completing my semi-autobiography containing fictional accounts of non-fictional events.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can put both legs behind my head, but as a straight guy that doesn't really appeal to the right audience.
You should message me if
- You have a funny story to share
- You cheat at party games because you want to win damn it!
- You can pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time
