My self-summary
I'm a kind, generous person who's intelligent and well-spoken. I have a very sarcastic wit at times, too. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a really fun person to be around. I have a great sense of humor, and I love to facilitate people being in their element and being able to open up and be honest because I'm pretty much an open book.

Here's where it might get interesting for those who actually read these. I'm all over the map, as far as philosophical/political ideals go. I'm very liberal regarding my views on the role of government. I'm very conservative regarding my views on taxes and spending on everything but defense. I'm kinda libertarian when it comes to my belief in the liberty of an individual, but I'm also a collectivist, in that I believe the strength of an individual is important for the community of all of us, and that we should all just freakin share stuff. I have no religion and no belief in a higher power. Although the "religion" bit on the details says atheist, I promise I don't bite if you're a spiritual or religious person, and a broader more accurate term to describe my beliefs would be secular humanist.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a restaurant general manager, and I do my job well. I am part of a fast-growing franchise company, and I plan on sticking with it. I do most of the normal stuff, like movies, bars, clubs, and restaurants with both friends and family. I'm involved in what I consider to be some pretty important charity work as well. All of that eats up most of my time, so everything else is occupied by news-reading, futzing around on the internet, and keeping up with a few tv shows that I watch pretty religiously.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh with horribly insensitive jokes. Also, singing, dancing, and being an alie...wait, I wasn't supposed to tell you that.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile, my glasses, and if I'm on fire, probably the fire.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books? Don't have a list. I honestly don't read much, and when I do, it's typically biopic, political, religious, or a combination of those. The last novel that I read was the first book in the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. It was hilarious and awesome.

Favorite movies? My newest favorite would be Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. My oldest favorite would have to be The Maltese Falcon. Bogart is killer in that (no pun intended). Action? The Bourne films, and apparently there's another unnecessary one coming out that I'll probably see and grudgingly like. Science fiction movie(s)? Star Wars. If you think episodes 1-3 can even touch 4-6, we might have problems. Psychological thriller? The Talented Mr. Ripley. Science fiction horror? Alien. Supernatural horror? It's a toss-up between The Last Exorcism and The Ring, although I haven't thought about it very hard. I just like both of those movies a lot, and so many of the horror films that have come out in my lifetime suck many balls. Favorite actor? Gary Oldman. Favorite actress? Cate Blanchett. Favorite director pair? Coen Brothers. Favorite director? Ridley Scott.

My favorite shows include Dexter, The Office, New Girl, Freaks and Geeks, BSG, Samurai Champloo (without the dubbing), anything with Gordon Ramsay in it, Nurse Jackie, Game of Thrones, and Big Bang Theory. And if you liked Two Broke Girls, please either move on or don't ever let me find out.

I don't have a favorite genre of music. I don't even have favorite bands, except one, and that's TMBG. I enjoy individual works, from crappy pop songs to electronica, to old country to concert classical. I'll try anything once, but I don't force myself to listen to something that doesn't move me. The song does its thing, and if I like it, great. If I don't, oh well.

Food is kind of like music to me. I don't have a favorite restaurant, cuisine, or dish. Recipes vary wildly from restaurant to restaurant or kitchen to kitchen, so I always have an open mind, whether I'm eating pig tongue at a hole in the wall Chinese place, or inhaling steak like it's going out of style at a 5-star steakhouse. Fried chicken pieces/tenders are easily my favorite thing at fast food joints when I get fast food though. It's hard to mess that up, I suppose.
Six things I could never do without
Terrible jokes.
Political/religious discussions.
My Spiderman shirt (see photo #2).
They Might Be Giants. (look em up, it's a band)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
politics, religion, science, my finances, and the small details about people that others miss.
On a typical Friday night I am
at home, hanging out with roommates after a long, difficult day at work. I wouldn't mind being dragged out by a pretty companion, though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing (loudly) to Colbie Caillat when noone's around. There. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?
You should message me if
you're single, interested in something that's not just casual, and like being treated well.
