My self-summary
I'm a Lancastrian who's made Liverpool my home. I like music, photography, books, film, forgetfulness, dalliance, brilliance, technology, anthrolpology, archaeology and especially geology.
What I’m doing with my life
Painting things green.
Thinking about how neolithic people saw the world.
Working for a bunch of stooges whom I despise.
Taking photographs and not developing them.
Trying and failing to make music that I'm really happy with.
I’m really good at
Paying using the exact change without saying "I think that's right".

Reading several books at once (ok, not at exactly the same time, I only have two eyes and definitely no more than one brain!) and not finishing any of them. I've had one of my library books out for so long I forget how many years it's been. I'm considering an attempt at faking my own death in order to avoid the fines.. Ideas welcome.
Making the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Making houmous

Drinking gin and whisky.

Choosing greetings cards. Really bad at wrapping presents though.

Carefully analysing people's bullshit in order that I can call them out on it with maximum effect (this is my job).
The first things people usually notice about me
Bipedal hominid
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
All sorts of stuff you'll probably think is rubbish or weird or both. I like synthesisers, drums, horns, voices, electric and acoustic guitars, and any other musical instrument operated by a human.

Don't watch much television really but when I do I tend to go for science, nature and historical documentaries. And I do not include the rubbish they tend to show on Channel 4 these days.

I haven't written much that is specific about my favourite stuff.
Because if you're passionate enough to care about art and culture to talk about it at length, that's usually enough to have in common. There's a lot more important things to consider when choosing friends and partners than what bands they like, or whether they like prawns. Plus, I find it's really nice to learn about these sorts of things together :)

That said, I'm currently re-reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And Alfred Lansing's Endurance is waiting in the wings.
Excited about the new Monolake album and looking forward to the new Bonobo thing next year. Interspersed with Scandinavian jazz and psychedelic rock.
The six things I could never do without
This question wasn't hard enough in it's current format so I restricted myself to things beginning with T.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm really quite left wing and big on environmental issues, always looking for ways to improve these aspects of my life. I'm not 'mainstream' and probably considered a bit weird. I'm happy with that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to make a decision about what to do on friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My sister had a horse-drawn wedding. It was a disaster. I told her she should have hired a photographer.
You should message me if
Conversation, and a few informal drinks in an informal setting sounds appealing :) This looks good too: http://sugaranddice.co.uk
