My self-summary
Hello there!

I'm looking for a lady (or lady and gentleman, or lady and lady, whoever really) to enjoy scary movies and sexy times with. Hopefully, we can nerd out over a lot of stuff too! I'm in a very functional non-monogamous marriage, and I'm more than happy to positively confirm that in any way that makes a potential partner comfortable. I love meeting other polyamorous folk and finding out what works for them.

INTJ if you're into that. :P
What I’m doing with my life
I can say I'm living the dream without the ironic tone most folks seem to add. I work in the film and video business and I love it. My most marketable skill is color grading, but I'm also an excellent editor and location sound mixer. My job has enabled me to travel the world, buy a car and a house, and keep two large cats fed. I've been doing this work for 10 years and I don't want to do anything else.

Also, I'm working really hard to get in shape. I've maintained a consistent gym routine for 3 months now, and it's starting to pay off! I'm totally hiking this year.
I’m really good at
Listening. I really do like to listen to new people and learn just by observing.

On the work side - Color grading (color correction). I'm a very artistic and a very technical person, and this field requires a lot of both sides. I'm also good at dissecting a story and figuring out what works and what doesn't.

Back rubs! Or so I'm told. I do enjoy giving them though.
The first things people usually notice about me
My long dark hair, slowly graying beard, and nice smile (thanks to the efforts of my incomparable dentist!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Going with the last few things I loved first:

Slightly obsessed with the original The Twilight Zone, I mean, just think of the imagination it must have taken to write that show back then! Working on Shameless, just guiltily enjoyed Voltron. Waiting for Game of Thrones to come back and missing dearly departed Hannibal.

Working on The Idiot; as much as I love Russian literature, it's the book equivalent of a boss fight. I really liked the Mistborn series. Love Neil Gaiman. Perennial favorites include Lord of the Rings, The Dark Tower, Harry Potter, and Dune.

Logan was incredible, even if it cribbed a little from The Last of Us. Steal from the best and make it your own. :) I loved Get Out too. I also like this indie flick from 1977 called Star Wars. You probably haven't heard of it. :P

I really like good Indian and Nepali food (I know some great places). Also, pizza. Of all kinds.
Six things I could never do without
My eyes (seriously, if I went blind I'd lose my livelihood), movies, music, touch, the occasional smile, and stories of any kind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How nice of a job my dentist just did. For the first time in years, I'm excited about my teeth!

Also, why OKC shows me so many 0% percent matches. I mean, the concept of a person that agrees with me on literally nothing is fascinating on some level, but it loses its novelty after the 5th or 6th in a row...
On a typical Friday night I am
1) Working,
2) Reading or writing, or
3) Watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like video games, but I don't like referring to myself as a gamer anymore...
You should message me if
You don't want to go to a scary movie alone. Or if you love nerdy stuff and like chatting with fellow nerds. Or if you want to hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. :)
