My self-summary
Since I've had a profile here since 2005, I've decided to clean house, reset everything and write new stuff. Hooray! Maybe... If it seems a little light on detail that's why; more to come later.

So, I'm looking for a lady (or lady and gentleman, or lady and lady, whoever really) to enjoy scary movies and sexy times with. Hopefully, we can nerd out over a lot of stuff too! I'm in a very functional non-monogamous marriage, and I'm more than happy to positively confirm that in any way that makes a potential partner comfortable.

I'm pretty easy to hook. Just laugh at my jokes and pretend like I'm interesting. :P
What I’m doing with my life
I can say I'm leaving the dream without the ironic tone most folks seem to add. I work in the film and video business and I love it. My most marketable skill is color grading, but I'm also an excellent editor and location sound mixer. My job has enabled me to travel the world, buy a car and a house, and keep two large cats fed. I've been doing this work for 10 years and I don't want to do anything else.

I also do freelance work with a computer I built from scratch. ;)
I’m really good at
Listening. I really do like to listen to new people and learn just by observing.

On the work side - Color grading (color correction). I'm a very artistic and a very technical person, and this field requires a lot of both sides. I'm also good at dissecting a story and figuring out what works and what doesn't.

I made some good enchiladas tonight, but I'm not sure that counts...
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure anymore. Let me know if you meet me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Going with the last few things I loved first:

Loving BoJack Horseman, Stranger Things and already missing Hannibal. Just finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, I didn't mind the script format in the slightest, but damn I'd love to discuss it with someone. Also on a Neil Gaiman kick right now. Really enjoyed The Witch earlier this year, and Deadpool was fucking hilarious.

Those enchiladas were pretty damn good too. :P
The six things I could never do without
My eyes (seriously, if I went blind I'd lose my livelihood), movies, music, touch, the occasional smile, and stories of any kind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to not express my political options. 2016 sucks.
On a typical Friday night I am
1) Working,
2) Reading or writing, or
3) Watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like video games, but I don't like referring to myself as a gamer anymore...
You should message me if
You're in a similar situation as I am. Or if you don't want to go to a scary movie alone. Or if you love nerdy stuff and like chatting with fellow nerds. Hopefully you find my awkwardness endearing. :)
