My self-summary
I like to create and to understand. I think life is about love: the big kind - for god and/or the universe; the local kind - for neighbours wherever we encounter them; and yes, the romantic kind. Especially the romantic kind. I love the wings of birds and the openness of children. I'm the most romantic person I know. I think passions are to be followed, everything is to be celebrated, losses grieved, and friends and promises kept. I"m told my photos here don't do me justice, so I'll replace them before too long.
What I’m doing with my life
My income comes from designing buildings; the more complicated and challenging, the better. My first degree is in Architecture. I design major buildings for/with big architecture firms, and smaller ones on my own. I stay financially secure; but I could make a lot more money. I pursue the arts seriously instead - I'm a filmmaker (the grad degree is in film) - progress is steady. I have progressive and almost radical tastes in art, music, and appreciate a wide range of lifestyles. But not at the expense of all tradition. Even though I think the bible - as wonderful as it can be - sometimes exhibits tourette's syndrome, I teach Church School to grades 2 to 5 at an Anglican Church. I see strength, tenderness, and being part of a group to be linked together. It takes work. (But of course I see the play part as the most important.)
