I grew up in the punk/skate scene, and although you might not know it by looking at me now, much of that culture still flows though my veins. I don’t skate much anymore, but still love to snowboard as much as I can. I guess you could say I’m on the eclectic/edgy/artist/punk/alt/whatever side of things, you’ll find me in the local punk rock dive bar rather than the sports bar. I don’t have a clue who’s playing in the superbowl. I’m ok with casual dating, (all dating kind of starts that way right?) but ultimately I’d love to meet someone who wants a real committed relationship. Someone with a lot of common interests, someone who really gets me for who I am, flaws and all. My heart is on my sleeve. Sometimes to my detriment I suppose, but generally I think it’s a good thing as I’m very open and honest. I’m tired of games, I’ll simply tell you what’s going on with me, and hope you’ll do the same.
Other random thoughts: I love hiking and generally being outdoors. I actually prefer the beach in the winter for some reason, it’s just so peaceful. I wish I was better at jogging, but these old skater’s knees aren’t too happy about it. I love spicy thai food. I hate olives. I build high end speakers from scratch as a hobby. I’m a hopeless audiophile, and I believe that MP3 files are a tragedy. I still like going out to bars, and if it has a good pool table all the better. I love a good punk rock show but also a good house music night. I dj’d for years, and although I don’t do it anymore I still love going out to see good dj’s spinning hip hop, house, drum and bass, reggae, etc. I’m quite liberal but not over the top. Not a big fan of politics. I have a soft spot for old goth and industrial music, yet today I’m more likely to be listening to reggae or old 60’s bossa nova. Go figure. I dig nice loft spaces in crappy areas. I’m sorry but I just don’t get skinny jeans on dudes.
