My self-summary
My name is Dov. Just to be clear it's pronounced with a hard vowel sound. Not like the white bird or the soap that everyone loves.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'll tell you about myself. I was born in Alaska, and haven't been back since, although I desperately want to visit. I grew up in the best state, Maine. If you haven't visited Acadia National Park in the Fall, you haven't lived. Now I find myself in Brooklyn, wondering why rent is soooo expensive.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm touring the world with several different bands. Ok...lately it's just been the US. I witnessed my first drag race on a highway outside of Baltimore at 2:30am a couple weeks ago. Touring life is exciting!

When I'm not on the road, I do the things most everyone else does; Eat at good restaurants, Drink at craft cocktail bars, See live music, Do jumping jacks in the park. Ok...not everyone does that last one.
I’m really good at
Fitting Car2Go cars into the smallest parking spot possible.

(If you don't know about Car2Go, check it out, it's incredible)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
So many things!

Reading Infinite Jest was the hardest thing I've ever done. And probably the best. Also Blood Meridian, Jitterbug Perfume, Dance Dance Dance, Cat's Cradle,

Pan's Labyrinth, Il Divo, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Mulholland Drive, The Departed, BirdMan,

Breaking Bad, The Wire, Homeland

Music: Definitely too many things!
Ryan Power, Delicate Steve, Stevie Wonder, James Blake, RL Burnside, Kendrick Lamar, Claude Debussy, Billie Holliday, Star Rover, Sarah Vaughn, Willie Nelson, Duke Ellington, Nick Drake, Mary Lou Williams, Sam Amidon, Joao Gilberto,

I could probably survive off of just Tacos and Soup Dumplings.
The six things I could never do without
In chronological order over the course of a day:

Memory Foam Mattress
Vodka Soda
Memory Foam Mattress
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How did I not have a memory foam mattress until a year ago??!
