Well, as you can see from my email address I identify with the archetype of the wizard quite strongly. I come from a English-lecturer turned story teller, high energy father who is him self exaggerated, having a strong trickster suit and a librarian-teacher - should have been an scientist- logically-sound, grounded and low energy mother. This all reacts in me quite well to form an 'intuitive, logical introvert' or INTP according to my MBTI profile or more literally my genome (available on request in either textual, coded or more traditional organic forms). :)
My ideal match would be a pragmatic, logical girl who could keep me from detrimental flights of fancy but not put Occam's razor to my idealistic notions unnecessarily. She will have learnt to love the questions for themselves, but still be at least a little curious about the nature of things some of the time. She will appreciate sarcasm, wit and cynicism while remaining optimistic and readily see the wonder behind the simple things in life. She need only bring her world with her in a grain of sand / preferred substrate - I will provide the slides for the introspective microscope. She has a serene presence that can calm my restless mind.
She appreciates aesthetics and is likewise at the mercy of a creative muse(s) and so can understand the wave nature of inspiration and so ride it with me. Most of all, she is someone who offers a complimentary color to fill in the fractals of our lives and can help to turn the pages of that cosmic coloring in book we find ourselves in. She realizes that she is fictional, but does not wish to leave the matrix. She has an imaginary memory box, quantumly entangled with mine from before birth, that still needs to be filled by it's partner before it can finally be closed.
I'm currently a student reading for a degree in Psychology, Physiology and Genetics and plan to be done and qualify as a High school teacher sometime before the end of the Mayan Calender. Genetics is my new thing. Previously I was planning on majoring in Computer Science with the view towards working with robots and AI, but after retiring from my job as an IT technician 3 years ago, I discovered the wonder of the organic intelligence of the human mind (which contains multitudes) and have successfully role-played as a freelance graphic designer (see www.g3d.co.za) and web developer with environmentalist tendencies since. For fun, I like to answer questions on YahooAnswers! or, when in a more compassionate mood i donate my time on www.freerice.com
In the last few months, I have taken up the mantle of family archivist and so have spent much time cataloging the life stories of my ancestors and placing them in their rightful place in the family tree, with the view towards using the data my 3rd year population genetics research project and perhaps even publishing the narratives and print and demand form to be marketed to all the relatives I manage to find. I'm also quite keen to use the genealogical data to work out astrological inheritance patterns and perhaps even link it up with modern epigenetic theory and so achieve something of a synthesis. My cat, however, believes this to be wishful thinking. :)
