What's new: updated witty humor, action photo (in this one I'm saving a kitten from a burning building!), and some refreshing soul-bearing, all for no extra charge.
Feeling happy to be alive and breathing, and living a full life in this busy city!
I'm very excited to be studying nursing, (a change in career for me). It feels really great being able to help patients, compared to my last career, which was way too much about the bottom line, which makes you feel like you are wasting your days, instead of having a reason to live them.
Also, I really enjoy art and expressing myself, and, recently, I've fallen in love with dance. There's something so primal and basic about it, and most of us feel such a disconnect between our brains and our bodies. I think dance helps me feel in touch with who I am as a whole human being, and it's loads of fun to boot!
Probably that I can be a bit shy when meeting someone new, and that I have a wacky sense of humor.
Also, that when I want something in my life, I work at it until I can get it, and that I will freely admit that I am a work in progress, just like all of you wonderful gentlemen out there, and that that is the beauty of life :)
Books: I like reading about communist countries. What does that say about me? I read "regular" and speculative fiction, and random non-fiction, ie. Buddhism, how to arm wrestle sharks (WTF?!?), whatever ...
Movies: The good stuff (as if I'm the single arbiter of what's good, lol) No Country for Old Men, Casa Blanca, The Dark Knight, anything with Kevin Spacey. Just started to dabble in Indian cinema, because I've heard so much praise.
Shows: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Walking Dead, (AMC anyone?) Just picked up on House of Cards. I enjoy British and Asian shows from time to time, as well as Japanese animation.
Music: My taste is eclectic but very topical and changes with my mood. As long as it's good and it moves me, I'll listen.
Food: My taste is eclectic but very topical and changes with my mood. As long as it's good and I like how it tastes, I'll eat :)
Was that too many?
Dinner, drinks with friends, dancing, karaoke, watching a performance (These aren't necessarily Friday things; I'm not a 9-5er.)
you like to laugh and make others laugh
you like to go out and experience New York for all it's worth
you like good books/tv/movies and discussing them
you are warm and confident, and open to a relationship with the right person
if you like dancing, that's an added plus :)
