My self-summary
Having completed my final year of sleeping, drinking and having long philosophical debates about pointless crap (ie university) in Manchester, I am returning to London to seek my fortune. Luckily my family name is not Pirrip and this is not the early 20th century so I hope things are not going to be too difficult.

I play guitar and have done for a very long time, I love art, not just in a traditional sense but in a broader sense. I often find things more interesting artistically if they haven't been designed with art as their primary function.

To this end I enjoy touring the cities of Europe investigating any sculptures / architecture that interests me. So far I have done: Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam and Prague.

I am driven and intelligent, I have high aspirations and have up to now always attained them this, of course has made me incredibly modest.

I have always loved artists, musicians and general vagabonds. The best relationships and friendships I have ever been a part of have been with creative people yet I am a staunch scientist. Unfortunately I am one of these logical types however I have always tried to keep an open mind and in my opinion open mindedness is the most important trait anyone can posses even if they have to consciously try to attain it. (Open mindedness does not extend to ideas that are quite obviously fallacious such as religion, astrology and 'alternative' medicine.)

Im always up for a debate and I love playing the devils advocate, this can sometimes upset some people but I never mean any real harm by it I just find cogent debate entertaining and mentally stimulating.

That is quite enough self absorbed narcissistic crap for one section.....
What I’m doing with my life
Working 12h days (investment banking hours can be a little antisocial), going to wine bars, eating out, enjoying the culture.
I’m really good at
playing very fast complicated things on a guitar ... cooking artistically presented cuisine with incredibly obscure ingredients (towers of food are definitely the way forward...).
The first things people usually notice about me
Hmm used to be my huge head of dredlocks but I have had them cut off so I am not so sure anymore. Probably that I am almost certainly opining on something or other.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
music : I'm currently listening to a lot of classical music mainly: Bach's piano concertos, Liszt, Carl Orff i also like 70s and 80s rock: read Led Zeppelin Fleetwood Mac etc, 80s metal i.e. Iron Maiden and a load of new prog and metal i.e. Children of Bodom, Dream Theater etc

movies : pulp fiction, the big lebowski (the dude abides), apocolypse now, Schindlers List (Sad face), anything Arnold Schwarzenegger (or however the hell you spell his name), I love cheesy action films and also anything original or funny ... lots really ill watch anything once.

TV: Black Books, Black Adder.... Black anything really. Dylan Moran (seen live 2 times was funny) Dexter, Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, random documentaries about sea urchins......

food: lobster tails fillet steak and caviar ..... or a curry whatever. I love cooking, a lot. If money were no object I would spend my life traveling around the Mediterranean making rustic Italian, Spanish and Greek food surrounded by spectacular sea side vistas.

books: I mainly like novels about real things rather than total none fiction (A Brief History of Time, Liars Poker, When Genius Failed, Smartest Guys in the Room etc etc) I also read a lot of formal non-fiction mainly to expand my knowledge in a specific area that I am interested in (Think periodicals scientific journals and text books). however: .. I did spend some time reading the classics, Tolstoy, Dickens etc but I could never really get into them (Great Expectations took me over a year to read even though I am a fast reader). lord of the rings was good, harry potter was fun when i was 13, the davinci code was rubbish....
Six things I could never do without
a private jet, an extensive collection of original art works, a life times supply of 1959 Chateau Lafite Rothschild, an enormous summer house in Monaco a 200 ft super yacht and a large staff to pander to my every whim.... oh crap I've not got any of those (how can I live without the little things).
How about intimacy friendship good health nice food a roof and my family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the object in-front of me works, whatever it may be.... I am one of these people who needs to know everything....
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking wine and enjoying good company, preferably in a bar with a large terrace looking over whichever city I'm in. Contemplating the fun and frolics of the weekend ahead. I think day time is underrated!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Im secretly a giant bat. *flaps*
You should message me if
If you have looked at my profile and actually been remotely interested by its contents. If you like going out but in a more varied sense than " I love clubbing and it's all I do". If your musical, opinionated, spontaneous, funny, attractive (in a quirk non bimboish kind of way), or just some of the above then go for it.
Also if you enjoy dinner dates we will get along just fine.
