My self-summary
Smart, funny, maybe too honest, sarcastic bordering on cynical. Glass is not full or empty, it just contains liquid.

Stuff you may or may not want to know...I no longer drink but know A LOT about wine and spirits. Humphrey Bogart's quintessential anti-hero and Sherlock Holmes' critical thinking were, and still are, huge influences on my thinking in early adolescence. Flummoxed may be my favorite non-cuss word word. When I hit powerball I'm buying a Tuscan Villa. I've owned T. Rex's "The Slider" in some way shape or form in every decade I've been alive. The Small Faces are my favorite British Invasion band. Anything Memphis/Stax is my favorite soul. Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers' L.A.M.F. may be the the most perfect Rock n Roll record ever made. Please feel free to message me if you disagree.
What I’m doing with my life
Some stuff that makes me happy, some stuff that makes me money, some stuff I don't particularly like but has to be done because I'm an adult. I find adulthood highly overrated.
I’m really good at
Avoiding crowds, being a curmudgeon, wine pairing, Sazerac making, lazing about.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably that I'm not like everybody else. Huge bonus points if you know this is a song and who does it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: I love them.

MOVIES: Love them too. Mostly Film Noir. There's more...just ask.
R.I.P. Alan Rickman, you will be missed sir.

MUSIC: Raw ass Rock 'n' Roll... Johnny Thunders, Dead Boys, The Cramps, Motorhead (I am sadness), Ramones (alas sadness), Bowie (maybe the most sadness), Power Pop, etc...Be Bop, Honky Tonk, Rockabilly, fucked up 50's & 60's R&B...

FOOD: Never met a cheese I didn't like (except Grayson). Seriously love food...good food be it diner, bar, or fine dining. Definitely NOT vegetarian, but I'm ok if you are. I tend to mock vegans.

T.V.: The Simpsons (1st 9 seasons) and The Wire are the greatest things TV has produced. Breaking Bad, True Detective Season 1, Leftovers, Fargo, Walking Dead, Z Nation, Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Manhattan, Mr. Robot...Mr. Robot deserves a second notice, The Americans...
Six things I could never do without
Free Will
Vocal Chords
Neck Kissing
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why did Orson Welles cast Charlton Heston in "A Touch Of Evil"
On a typical Friday night I am
Dispensing quality beverages and bad advice.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm currently obsessed with Power-Pop.

I get a lot of questions about this, so here ya go, if you care:

Punk? Power Pop? Who cares, it's great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGnLx1wj9ZI

Current obsession, Australia's best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpgVZVZVgpo

If any of this makes you go out and buy a Big Star or Plimsouls or Real Kids record...awesome!
You should message me if
You have an opinion on the Welles' casting. You may have heard a Big Star song. You like Motorhead. If you think we'd click.

DON"T IF: You consider yourself a Young Professional (what the fuck does that even mean?)
It takes you more than one sentence comprised of many multisyllabic words to describe your sexuality.
