My self-summary
(Cracks Knuckles.... silence) I have no idea how to sum up who I am into this little white box, but here goes... I grew up outside of Philly and then went to school in New Orleans. Moved up to NYC to work on Wall Street. Recently switched jobs to a software and am really loving it. I lead a very active lifestyle, play a few sports, have an active social life (I am always willing to grab a bite to eat or a drink somewhere), but I enjoy my down time as well. I love finding new places to eat or drink or new parts of the city that I have walked through before but never taken the time to look around or really explore. I LOVE to dance, and i like to think i am pretty good at it. I play the guitar (kinda) and i like just about every type of music. It all depends on the mood... I love some good jazz, but at the same time, i heart 90's rap. Today's pop is always good to get the heels bouncing on the subway, and even some country (i went to school in south)
What I’m doing with my life
I am tempted to get all deep and thoughtful with this, but if you are interested, it gives us something to talk about. But right now, I am enjoying living in New York City. My likes and desires are spread far and wide. For instance, I play dodgeball (no snickers). Yes, I am almost 30 years old and play dodgeball. But I also love to read, play soccer and basketball. The guitar and learning a really obscure language are on my bucket list.
I’m really good at
Is there a way for this to come across as confident and not cocky? Anything I do, I like to do well. But I'm really good at spoiling my niece.
The first things people usually notice about me
Ummmmm.... Depending on the age, probably my name. Ask me and I'll let you in on the secret.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am really in a Spy Novel kick right now, but I love to read... Fiction, nonfiction... whatever. One of my favorite books of all time is Band of Brothers. Movies: Just about anything, comedy, action, hell even a few romantic comedies (again, no snickers). But Robin Hood Men In Tights (I am laughing just thinking about it), Independence Day (I know about 80% of the dialogue by heart). Everytime Mr. and Mrs. Smith is on TV, I find myself watching it. TV: I watch entirely too much TV, and gravitate more towards the crime shows than the comedies... That being said, 30 Rock is up there as a fave. Food: What New Yorker doesn't like to eat, and there are a TON of places I want to try.
The six things I could never do without
Family... I have a young niece and am head over heels in love with her... It is so much fun to spoil her. My friends... People that are there through the good and bad times. People that you can have a conversation about the meaning of life or absolutely nothing at all, and it still be a great conversation; or people that you don't have to say anything at all. Most importantly, friends that are there for you no matter what and don't judge (or know you well enough to have judged you long ago). My new Kindle (just makes reading on the subway so much easier). OK, time to get materialistic now. My iPhone. I mean, walking through the city would be so boring without pandora always going in my ears, plus, in today's society of immediate gratification, it would be tough to not have a phone (that being said, it's nice, when you are at dinner to turn the phone off and just be lost in the here and now). Unlimited metrocard. May not be the sexiest of items, but c'mon, traveling via subway in the city is great when you only have to go to somewhere and back 20 days a month for it to pay for itself. My driver's license... You may often overlook this, but my license expired for two weeks and it was tough doing anything at night without a license.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work... Unfortunately, it has to happen. But beyond that, I think about things to do and places to go. Always adding to my bucket list. Also thinking about food and places to eat, and then of course working out. But then again, there is always the things that are on most guys' mind...
On a typical Friday night I am
Either passed out from a long week of work, or enjoying Happy Hour and then dancing the night away. It is a good time to catch up on dvr'd shows if I don't make it out. I mean, you can always sleep when you're dead, but sometimes, the body just needs to veg.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask away...
You should message me if
If you think anything I said sounded interesting.
