My self-summary
I recently moved to the area to a small 20 acre farm. It's a daunting task that I've chosen to undertake-100+year old farm house and 3 pastures that have been sorely neglected over the past 6 years. But, my goal is to have gardens and a few animals (dairy cow, goats, pigs, chickens (already have a few), and rabbits) by the end of next year to have a decent start on a sustainable homestead.
I'm learning as I go, so it's basically trial by fire at this point.

I'm also an herbalist-love to create plant medicine, a music and nature junkie, spiritual but not religious - I tend to pick my favorite parts of various spiritual paths and smash them together into my own ideology.

I have a few kids and homeschool them. I don't believe in the government being involved in my children's education.

I love all things music and nature-combining the two into an outdoor music festival is my idea of an amazing weekend. I love camping and when the weather permits, I sleep in a tent in my backyard.

I'm basically a total cliched hippie gal. Sorry. But, I don't take myself too seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to do it all-run my business, build my homestead, and dreaming about having a life outside my house!
I’m really good at
listening and giving advice. I'm also a master proofreader and love to create spreadsheets. Yes, I am a nerd. PS~I do my friends' taxes for fun.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would say my style. I am slightly on the eclectic side-I don't follow fashion trends.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything by Tom Robbins; my favorite movies are too many to name; I'm not really a tv person, but my daughter sucked me into The Walking Dead; I love many kinds of music-mainly bluegrass; and I LOVE food! I used to be a sous chef. My favorite type of food would have to be either Thai or sushi.
The six things I could never do without
My children, music, rain, good food, friends and sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
right now I'm in homesteading planning mode. Graph paper with garden layouts, lists and lists of to-dos before spring and pouring over seed catalogs!
On a typical Friday night I am
This is where I tell you how boring I am, right? I seriously haven't done anything exciting on a Friday night in a looooong time. Ideally, I'd love to go eat some amazing food and listen to live music - not at a huge arena, but a small club or bar and drink craft beer-usually a stout or porter is my preference.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm clumsy. Seriously-I have tripped over my pants while wearing them. Just call me Grace.
You should message me if
You are passionate about your life, have drive, love great music, have a sense of humor, and are motivated to constantly better yourself. Oh, and if you find me mildly interesting. ;)
