My self-summary
I consider myself spiritual, nurturing, passionate, and endlessly curious. I love intelligent and well done movies, off the wall comedies, and provocative conversation about art, travel, human nature... I'm spontaneous and silly at times, quiet and meditative, others. I like my adventure, but I like my sleep and dream life too. I'm from Brookline MA, a Brown grad and the youngest of three girls in a Korean-American family. I've been to Korea four times and it's the most intense and amazing and hard place to visit/live.
What I’m doing with my life
Cooking, learning how to take care of myself and others, watching documentaries. Currently trying to wean myself off a long time addiction to staying busy and a fussiness over 'success', and reframe choices based on what will bring more simple truths, simpler moments of joy and happiness. I love where I am now.
I’m really good at
Being a loyal friend and girlfriend, asking questions, listening, giving massages, cuddling, kissing, traveling on a small budget, packing efficiently, making a killer steak, omelette, stew, salad, pasta dish....
The first things people usually notice about me
My skin, my long black hair. It's usually down. When I'm writing, cooking, grocery shopping, hiking, working out at the gym, it's up in a messy bun.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh my gosh, too many books to list, but for now, The English Patient, Beloved, The Invisible Man, Affliction, Sophie's Choice, Norwegian Wood, No-No Boy, Rule of the Bone, Prayer for Owen Meany, The Velveteen Rabbit, short stories by Chekhov, Raymond Carver, John Cheever...

Too many films, but off the top of my head --The Artist is Present, The Lives of Others, La Vie en Rose, In the Mood for Love, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Amores Perros, Shawshank Redemption, Beginners, and The Skin I Live in. Last truly great film I watched was Beasts of the Southern Wild. Recently watched the docs, Sweet Grass and Step up to the Plate, and really liked both. I'm really into TED talks right now...

And as for food --medium-rare steak, jamon iberico, gazpacho, pappardelle, cold berries, pink lady apples, honey drizzled over warm croissants, peppermint tea, ice-cold sashimi (yellowtail, fluke, toro), beets, avocados, parmesan cheese, capers.

I love the piano, the guitar (esp. flamenco), cello, indie folk, anything sensual. To name a few current stuff I like, I'm a fan of Iron & Wine, Ray LaMontagne, Blonde Redhead, Death Cab for Cutie, Nick Drake, Pink Martini, Belle and Sebastian, George Winston, Balmorhea, Ed Gerhard, Philip Glass....
Six things I could never do without
-Soft blankets and pillows
-Warmth and love
-Comfortable shoes
-Great kissing
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Self-care. Giving care to others. Art. Growth. Love. Travel.
On a typical Friday night I am
At Trader Joes; listening to Pandora while at home cooking dinner; driving to meet a friend at a local restaurant; at a movie theatre.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love being kissed on the back of my neck.
You should message me if
You're warm, sensual, grounded and authentic.
