I am smart, sensitive, and a wise-ass.
I will be looking at your pics before contacting you so you might want to do the same. :)
I am working, parenting, experiencing being single for a few years after a long (unfulfilling) marriage. I have a lot of fun, but look forward to finding a special person who wants a REAL relationship. Turns out chemistry is more important than I realized.... Do you find that to be the case too?
Professionally I'm comfortable with where I am. I'm not as ambitious as I used to be, which is good. I've learned my time is much more valuable than my salary (even if you factor in my benefits!).
Showing I care.
I'm warm and approachable and trustworthy. I have pretty eyes, they say. And I am markedly pear-shaped, duh.
I read at least every night, usually Dean Koontz or some other suspense/horror author. The "The Girl..." series by Larsson was the best I've read in a long, long time. I love reading.
I love creepy books but not scary/horror movies. I really enjoy off-the-wall films. Enjoy Pixar too. I just don't care for the adolescent-locker-room humor. Or Cinderella stories (big eye roll). Faves include Inception, Groundhog Day, Memento, Color Purple, I Am Legend, 91/2 Weeks, Contact, Red October, Erin Brachovich, Memento, The Green Mile, Little Miss Sunshine, Aviator, . . . etc.
I LOVE all kinds of music. I've come to realize how important music is in communication in my relationships. If you get to know me, you'll understand what I mean. And if you don't think that "The Best of Sade" is the sexiest music ever then I just don't know what to tell you. I'm fine with listening to the radio, but I'm up for new tunes whenever. My tastes vary from the Black-eyed Peas to SRV to Debussy to Miranda to Govi to White Stripes to Foreigner to Duffy to Santana to Rachmaninov to Van Halen to Daft Punk to Ravel to Keith Urban to Rhianna to Eric Church to Steve Vai to RHCP to Cold Play ..... just turn it up. I fantasize about finding someone who can just chill and listen to music with me all day . . .
Food? I love sushi and steak and can make excellent versions of both. And more. And I enjoy almost all other stuff too - Greek, soul, Italian, burgers, Indian, bistro, Memento, homestyle, etc. Not a big fan of seafood (seems weird if I love sushi, I know) but I'm trying to develop an affinity. I love a good dive regardless of the type of food. I am absolutely passionate about food and cooking. I can cook very well -- I just wish I could do it full-time! LOL Lately I have been eating low-carb and I LIKE IT!
I love my dog. She's a big one and supremely mellow. One of the best decisions of my life was rescuing her. Just rescued another dog (small, though, but still chill) for my daughter and he's pretty awesome so far.
Ever see New Adventures of Old Christine?? Bonus! Switched at Birth and Bates Motel. Restaurant Impossible. Deadliest Catch. Dog Whisperer. Hoarders. My fave TV these days is Food Network, Discovery Channel and NatGeo. Memento. Lately I've been watching food shows almost exclusively. I heart Robert Irvine, Anne Burrell, Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri.
My very good brain.
Things that smell wonderful.
Air conditioning or cool weather.
Wildflowers and sunsets and starlight (hush, I know it's cliche)
Finding shelter . . .
Smarts and humor are my biggest turn-ons, not money or looks. It's just unpredictable who will flip my switch.
Don't judge, please . . . .
Catfish beware -- I can sense you a mile away. And please don't add me to your list of booty calls, ok?
PLEASE DON'T contact me if you are married or under 30 or looking for a high-maint Barbie. We would NOT be on the same page. Please. Don't. Watch -- now my Inbox will grow cobwebs LOL!
