My self-summary
I'm very flattered and grateful for what my friend, littledagny, wrote for me, so here it goes.

Steven,
engineer, biker, music enthusiast, and moper extraordinaire.

Steven is a great guy. He's had a bit of a dry spell relationship-wise, but when he puts himself out there, he's wearing his heart on his sleeve. With Steven, you'll get a caring, smart, and funny companion.

Let's skip past all the song lyrics, romantic little poems, science jokes, and other things you might receive from Steven as he "woo's" you. Here are the important things you need to know about Steven: He cares. He is a good friend. He is understanding. He respects women and doesn't sleep around. He's vegan and loves animals. He has a good future ahead of him.

Steven is passionate about his hobbies. He builds bikes from scratch, plays the piano, and records his own music. It's pretty cool that he manages to find time for this stuff while pursuing a PhD.

Steven will only accept quality women in his life, so please no
smokers, meat-eaters, girls with fake boobs, asses, or lips. Please
be sweet, smart, caring, and awesome. No exceptions.

Please don't let Steven be disillusioned with love. Help Steven
find the Sally to his Harry. Messages of encouragement can be
delivered to his inbox.
What I’m doing with my life
Doing science! Being silly, making terrible jokes, questioning the universe, trying to leave the world a better place than it was when I got here.

dreaming...
I’m really good at
It's easy for misperception to get in the way of an answer to this, but let's try to be real. I know I'm not the best at anything, nor do I strive to be such in the face of competition, but I do strive to live a life enriched by bettering myself as judged against my own idealism.

I'm good at science and tech, fixing bikes, cars, and computers. I'm not amazing at the instruments I play, but I'm not afraid to dream up some songs. There's no greater reward the sight of success on the face of someone you've helped, and I like to think that I'm good at helping people. My heart bleeds, and empathy runs to my core. I'm grateful for the little things, and I like to run my fingers on walls just to feel the texture and revel in my senses.

Sometimes I go for bike rides at night, when the heat of day fades to a cool breeze rolling across the night. If you shut off your lights, you can see the faint glow of a world hidden from those who dare not believe. Billions of years passed, and in that one moment, illuminated by the stars and moon, that breeze reminds you that the universe has been waiting for you. That one moment has been waiting just for you.
The first things people usually notice about me
How about a quirk of mine, instead?
Sometimes the last words I read on a profile are, "I am awesome." This is simply because I refuse to read past that statement. Interestingly, profiles containing this string of words often put them first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'd much rather be out living than sitting in and watching other people do so, which is why I don't watch much TV. That's probably also why I think watching sports is just about the most boring thing there is.

Ender's Game, Brave New World, Isaac Asimov, Blink, Calvin and Hobbes?

I love music, and I need to find some time to make more of it. A few bands: Third Eye Blind, The Goo Goo Dolls, Lostprophets, The Naked and Famous, 30 Seconds to Mars

Shows: Doug, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Invader Zim, Futurama, Pushing Daisies, Adventure Time

Movies: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Big Fish, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Back to the Future, The Matrix, Watchmen, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Short Circuit, What Dreams May Come, The Fountain, The Dark Knight, Rent, Moulin Rouge

If the food is cruelty free, then I'm pretty happy. My favorites are indian, thai, and mexican. I won't push my vegan agenda on you, because I really don't have one. This is how I feel I need to live my life and that's all there is.
The six things I could never do without
hope
introspection
sincerity
compassion
purpose
creativity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
There is a whole spectrum of human emotion, and I don't want to miss out on any of it. Happy is wonderful, but there can be a beauty in sadness and a vigor in anger. Show me your passion; sing like no one's listening.
You should message me if
you hope something beautiful could come of it
