My self-summary
I’m here for a simple reason. I’ve got a really close circle of friends which I know for a long time. It’s tight-knitted and everyone has been dating each other for a long time. So, I got a steady group of people hovering around in my life. I need this site to explode it a bit.

I should describe myself, I’m probably a half-insane (in a good way) geek who can go idle for two weeks and then go on a rampage for 3 months not stopping for a second, even to breath. Read a lot, about anything and everything, loves science stuff, history stuff. Play hockey cosom once a week, used to do a lot more sports and I kind of miss it.

I’m usually the comic relief, down to earth, no-nonsense type of guy. Can pretty much adapt to any situation.

But besides that, I don’t know in which bucket to put myself in. I might be too weird to be with the normal kids. And I’m too normal to hang out with the weird kids. But that’s me basically. I’m always on the fence trying to balance things in life.
What I’m doing with my life
For leisure: read, watch TV shows, hanging out with friends, building something in my friends home, geeking out, playing hockey or volleyball (not lately). Not afraid to try new things, lately I went out in the middle or nowhere, hours from civilization on a fishing trip with friends even though never fished in my life.

To pay the bills and the rest, I’m a project manager for a automation company. Love it. Each day is a challenge and I must admit that I need that to thrive, if not, i’m going braindead. It suits my problem resolving skills.
I’m really good at
Not panicking and carrying a towel.
The first things people usually notice about me
You should ask them. They say I’ve got a contagious laugh, always smiling and nothing is a problem when I’m around. So basically, i’m like an oversized puppy dog.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book :
Books , books… anything readable ? (that do not includes Twitlight (sorry) and including cereal boxes) I Love history books like stuff from WW2 or international politics/history (yeah I like that). Lord of the Rings (read those a couple of times), Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dan Simmons is my absolute favorite writer of all time and the Hyperion/Endemyon books are the best. Hubert Reeves is a must read. Robin Hobb, Glen Cook, freaking Walking Dead maniac (yes those are books to me, don’t judge, fan since the beginnings)

Movies :
Here it’s anything. Mostly geek stuff, sci fi and such, but I can pretty much watch anything. My favorites ? I’ll limit myself but : Lords of the Rings (duh!), Alien (s) (not the mess of the last two), Prometheus, Fight Club, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead (did I say that I got a crush on everything by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg ?), Red Cliffs, Bourne Trilogy, Green Zone (here comes the Paul Greengrass connection), Signs, Moon, Kill Bill, Pan’s Labyrinth, Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, etc etc. You can even go with foreign movies, I don’t mind the subtitles (prefer them in fact, to the freaking bad dubbed versions).

Shows :
Here again, geekiness is showing.Walking Dead, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, BSG, The IT Crowd, Flashpoint, The Wire, Top Gear, Mythbusters, etc

Music :
I’m stuck in my youth, so it’s mainly 90’s bands, but slowly evolving towards indie bands : Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, RATM, Nine Inch Nails, Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Modest Mouse, System of a Down, Wu-Tang Clan, IAM, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Daft Punk.

Food :
I like food, that’s it. If it’s edible, I will eat it. Seafood in particular. But I’m watching what goes on my plate.
Six things I could never do without
Is there anything really we can't live without except the basic stuff ? Humans adapt pretty well to anything :P
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How humanity lacks natural predators. That and what to eat for dinner. And probably anything between those two.

How can the world be so stupid and so awesome at the same time.
On a typical Friday night I am
It’s the most basic night of my week. It’s usually a stay-at-home night were I’m blowing some steam from the week and chilling out, watching movies or playing games online with some foreign friends that will laugh at my french accent. Doesn’t mean i’m not out at some friends place, in a restaurant or in transit for the weekend. But i’m not panicking if I don’t have anything planned on Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm probably going to ponder how to write a message to you. Does it need to be elaborate or a short one? Do I have to make sure I drop hint that I,ve read your profile (because i always do) or simply be casual and try to spark a conversation ? I'm going to try to judge to which type you're most likely to answer.

And if I got it wrong, I totally meant the other one, honest.
You should message me if
You’re not creepy. I still don’t know why i’m using the internet for dating since it caused me a looot of weird situations ranking from bizarre, hurtful, to the bat shit crazy level. So I guess I’ve seen enough not to worry I guess.

So don't be shy to send me a message or to reply.
