My self-summary
I am British born but grew up entirely in Hong Kong and somehow ended up with an American accent. I have lived in Hong Kong, China, the UK, Spain and Indonesia, so I suppose I'm rather a cultural cocktail. I like people with an open mind, a quirky sense of humour, geekish tendencies and an international perspective.

If you like to neatly categorize people, then my diverse interests will probably cause general befuddlement. I love caviar and champagne, but also chicken cartilage and Kraft macaroni cheese.
I love getting glammed up for a posh event and playing dice games in filthy dive bars. I love crappy action films (preferably involving superpowers of some variety) and going to museums. I love chilled out sofa sessions and heart exploding dragon boat sprints. I'm sort of a mash-up of a person that loves to try new things and make others into comfy habits.
What I’m doing with my life
Surrounding myself with all the right people. Doing a job I love. Trying to find some balance. Remembering to laugh every day.
I’m really good at
Changing temperature really quickly, making people laugh, banter, pub quizzes, crossing the line from decent conversation into something else, painting, organizing events/ my time, telling stories.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just an idea of my eclectic taste...
Books: Zig Zag street, the Mists of Avalon, Enders Game, Kurt Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Philippa Gregory, Adam Smith, Phillip Pullman, Non fiction books about the human condition, science and anything else that will supply me with sparkling dinner conversation.

Movies: James Bond, the cutting edge, anchor man, star wars (original 3), zoolander, blades of glory, cruel intentions, classic disney, shawshank redemption, Rocky Horror Picture Show, London, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Stranger than Fiction

Shows: Family Guy, True Blood, Happy Endings, Game of Thrones, Californication, the Muppets, Planet Earth, Allo Allo, Blackadder, Graham Norton, Spaced.
Musicals: The Last 5 years, Wicked, Avenue Q

Food: Everything (except maybe liver and capers). Food is a daily adventure for me. Dai pai dong to michelin star- I love trying new things and go back to old favourites.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, my cat, my family, cheese, music, workouts (I could never do without workouts not necessarily because I enjoy them, but because they are the essential counterbalance to my otherwise excessive lifestyle. They let me eat and drink what I want and enjoy life.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Random things like whether air hostesses age slower because of relativity and what to have for dinner. Boys.
On a typical Friday night I am
having a meal and then boozing the night away in good company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to think I was Chinese. Seriously.
Oh, and I secretly enjoyed the Twilight novels. There's just something about supernatural powers.
You should message me if
- If you have never worn socks with sandals. Or only done so ironically.
- If you're game for a laugh and willing to try new things.
- If you are nauseated by most text speak abbreviations.
- If you have a tattoo in Elvish or Romulan
- If you have a neat skill- like nunchucks, saying the alphabet backwards really fast, or saying pi to 12 digits.
