My self-summary
Awesome person seeks equally awesome person to do cliche things like fall in love. In the meantime, you'll do. 😬

My parents are British but I grew up in Hong Kong, have an 'international school accent' and moved to London almost a year ago. I've also lived in Indonesia, Spain and China and speak Chinese (very handy at restaurants or when eavesdropping on Chinese tourists).

I enjoy stimulating conversation, cheese, glitter, open mindedness, pub quizzing, theatre (particularly musicals- don't judge me), nifty skills and more cheese. Not necessarily in that order.

I'm probably a high functioning alcoholic, which means that I'm an expensive date but won't embarrass you by falling over. I'm also a mess of contradictions (as every woman has the right to be), in that I love caviar as much as kraft macaroni and cheese, I love a scummy dive bar as much as a chic cocktail bar, and I want you to respect me as an equal but sweep me off my feet. Go ahead, sweep...
What I’m doing with my life
Surrounding myself with all the right people. Doing a job I love. Trying to find some balance. Remembering to laugh every day.
I’m really good at
Changing temperature really quickly, making people laugh, banter, pub quizzes, crossing the line from decent conversation into something else, painting, organizing events/ my time, telling stories.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just an idea of my eclectic taste...
Books: Zig Zag street, the Mists of Avalon, Enders Game, Kurt Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Philippa Gregory, Adam Smith, Phillip Pullman, Non fiction books about the human condition, science and anything else that will supply me with sparkling dinner conversation.

Movies: James Bond, the cutting edge, anchor man, star wars (original 3), zoolander, blades of glory, cruel intentions, classic disney, shawshank redemption, Rocky Horror Picture Show, London, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Stranger than Fiction

Shows: Family Guy, True Blood, Happy Endings, Game of Thrones, Californication, the Muppets, Planet Earth, Allo Allo, Blackadder, Graham Norton, Spaced.
Musicals: The Last 5 years, Wicked, Avenue Q

Food: Everything (except maybe kidneys). Food is a daily adventure for me. Unpronounceable street food to michelin star- I love trying new things and go back to old favourites.
Six things I could never do without
Laughter, my cat, my family, cheese, music, workouts (I could never do without workouts not necessarily because I enjoy them, but because they are the essential counterbalance to my otherwise excessive lifestyle. They let me eat and drink what I want and enjoy life.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Random things like whether air hostesses age slower because of relativity and what to have for dinner. Boys.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking vigorously.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to think I was Chinese. Seriously.
Oh, and I secretly enjoyed the Twilight novels. There's just something about supernatural powers.
You should message me if
- If you have never worn socks with sandals. Or only done so ironically.
- If you are displeased about text speak abbreviations.
- If you have a tattoo in Elvish or Romulan or something equally geeky hot
- if you can contain your horror that I don't use Snapchat or Instagram.
- If you have any sort of neat skill- eg. nunchucks, saying the alphabet backwards really fast, saying pi to 12 digits, pen swizzling.
