My self-summary
I have a really serious addiction to chapstick. (This typically doesn't bode well for my laundry.)

I've worked in education for the past 10 years and I'm fortunate to be really passionate about it! Ask me about the time a kid asked me if the cafeteria hot dogs were cow's wieners. (I had to leave the room, due to not being able to keep a straight face.)

I'm kind of an introvert and a book nerd. I used to be a beer snob, but now pretty much just drink wine. Poor timing on my part, since there are now so many amazing breweries in Minneapolis.

It seems important to me to choose to be happy in life. To surround yourself with people and experiences that make you better. And maybe to be always working on yourself while practicing self acceptance.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm working on another degree...sigh. But it IS summer so I'm also growing veggies, walking on the parkway, and drinking wine on my porch.
I’m really good at
Putting my chapstick through the wash and spilling on myself. Also, making the perfect margarita, cooking without a recipe and buying books I've already read. Standing behind someone at Zumba who knows what they're doing (I have rarely been described as graceful.)
The first things people usually notice about me
Scandinavian roots!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love this part! In one of my favorite movies of all time, the main character suggests that what's important when considering possible romantic partners isn't so much what they are like, but rather what they like. True? Who knows, but here goes: chilled wine in the summer, cozy red in winter, flip flops, red pepper flakes on everything, Shameless, OITNB, GoT, Garrison Keillor, Willie Nelson, Harry Potter, eggs benedict, French Press coffee, coconut curry, Infidel, Dan Savage, Ira Glass, David Sedaris, city zipcodes, A Little Life.
The six things I could never do without
Something to read, Apple devices, chapstick, chapstick, a down comforter, red pepper flakes, flip flops, chapstick. I guess really just chapstick and something to read.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What drives people. What to read next. Self improvement. Why so many guys on here have "taco" as part of their usernames? And mostly, where I parked my car--it's tiny and virtually invisible in large parking lots.
On a typical Friday night I am
Homework? Homework with wine and pizza? I'm working on this...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm judging other people's grammar. Constantly.
You should message me if
You want to send me funny memes of Donald Trump being an asshat. Also if you are a decent human being and kind to children, animals and wait staff.
