My self-summary
After finishing teaching English to high-schoolers in Indonesia this June, I decided to move-in with my best friend in Albany. I lived in Albany for three months before Peace Corps, but I still don't know the city as well as I'd like. I grew up in the Catskills, and went to college in Rockland.

I'm your average small town girl that has a wide spectrum of interests and not enough time on her hands to pursue them all. I'm big on adventures, especially the little ones. I put my heart and soul into everything I do. I'm a bit of a dreamer, and true realist. I always try to see the good in people. I love traveling, exploring, reading and storytelling.
What I’m doing with my life
I've just returned from Peace Corps, and now I'm just trying to find a job that makes me happy, preferably something that helps youth or in the human-rights arena. The goal is always to make a difference.

I'm also trying to save money to travel more in the (hopefully) near future. My bucket list includes a trips around Europe, Turkey, Peru, and Harry Potter World.
I’m really good at
Finding good in people.
Taking in the moment.
Discovering adventures.
Having long conversations on random subjects.
Solving problems with only duct tape, glue, and a black sharpie.
The first things people usually notice about me
Is that I am quirky in a quiet but passionate way.
My loyalty to friends and family.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Okay, I am going to say it--I'm a fandom junkie. I love Harry Potter and Doctor Who, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and all those superhero shows; but my favorite television show of all time is Boy Meets World. I'm up for a good action/fantasy/Disney or Pixar movie any night.

When I find an author I like, I read everything they've ever written in a matter of weeks. I adore dystopian novels by young adult authors, and I believe in redemption stories. I grew up on the words of Tamora Pierce, J.K. Rowling, and Mitch Albom.

I'm a storyteller, and I love music that tells a story. My favorite songs are Nine Days' "Story of a Girl," "Carry on My Wayward Son" by Kansas and "You're Gonna Miss This" from Trace Adkins. I'm a pop, rock, country kind of gal that loves Greatest Hits Albums.

After living in Indonesia for 2.25 years, I am much more grateful for the pure variety of food we have in America. I love Italian (especially pizza), sushi, a nice juicy burger or honestly just about everything else. I might have an addiction to popcorn and flavored teas. Just no more white rice pretty please. I also don't like olives, so if I get them on a salad I'll probably offer them to you.
Six things I could never do without
My mind, memories, friends, family, art & writing supplies.

So basically: creativity, people, and the ability to remember where I came from.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why the world still turns with all the hatred in it.
Why people hate.
& Where Waldo is.

Thinking about alien and time travel makes my head hurt. Of course, that makes me an avid Dr. Who fan.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully at home with a glass of white wine, some friends, and a board game laughing my heart out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love people, but I am the definition of an introvert. Too much noise physically hurts me, so you'll never find me at a club or a bar with a live band. I enjoy concerts, but not too often. It also means that when I don't know a person well, spontaneously getting together (even with a couple of hours notice) may not work because it is emotionally exhausting. I'm not a fan of large house parties, but I thrive in smaller group gatherings. I'd rather meet at a quiet coffee house to chat or go for a walk around the park. Maybe if I like you enough I'll even take you geocaching. I'm a specific type of fun.
You should message me if
You're a quirky guy with a big heart, a sense of adventure, and something to say.

Also, I'm not here for a hook-up. Just FYI.
