My self-summary
I am currently seeing someone at the moment. I still value friendship and pen pals from all over the world, so feel free to message me. If you want relationship advice I might be able to provide an answer.

My main profession is that I am a Specialist in the US Army National Guard. I have been on an Afghanistan tour, but mainly I stay in California.

I am Roman Catholic and its a big deal for me. I try to stay theologically engaged and consistent with my thoughts on the spiritual reality of things. I have volunteered with my Church and will continue to do so in the future. That said, I have no problem talking to individuals of different religions with sensitivity.

I am a social conservative Republican loyalist but this doesn't forbid me from having liberal Democratic friends. I am pretty laid back and rather blunt. I don't like to sugar coat differences or deceive anyone into thinking that we are compatible when we obviously are not.

==International Contacts==

Feel free to send me a message as I always have an interest in international relations, culture, foods, religion, politics, occupations, and ways of life. I have had pen pals since 2000 and I tend to use internet messengers to talk to people rather than message back all the time. I often use google translator, so I am totally willing to communicate in your language. I am not an English major, but if you want to improve your English skills I will do what I can.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan as a bridge crew member. I am a Specialist (E-4) in the US Army. In my spare time I take internet classes, continue writing my books, read, watch movies, work out, and poker.
I’m really good at
Whatever I decide to work on: I have a knack on working obsessively on a project until it is completed, but I also have a tendency to multi-task at the same time. I have good long term memory on facts and figures, as well selective memory (information I am currently working with).
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a good listener and I tend to ask many questions about you and what you do.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Original Star Wars Trilogy, Independence Day, Matrix Trilogy, Terminator Trilogy, Predator, Spider Man Trilogy, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, X-Men, X-Men 2, Aliens, Superman, Gladiator, 300, Top Gun, Casino Royale, Lord of the Rings, Fearless, Hero, House of the Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower, Passion of the Christ, Saving Private Ryan, Forest Gump, Schindler's List, King Kong, Indiana Jones, Saw, RoboCop, Harry Potter, and many other action/comedy movies.

Symphonic and Power Metal including Nightwish, Within Temptation, Dragon Force, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Xandria, Epica, Kamelot, Delain, Eluveitie, Theatre of Tragedy, and Lunatica.

Rock including Metalica, Disturbed, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Limp Bizcuit, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Green Day, and a lot of other bands.

I also enjoy classical music especially movie themes, some types of techno trances, immediate music, some American soft rock, and on occasion jazz at concerts. I am very picky with the songs I like and seldom invest much time in the lyrics. My focus is more on the instrumentation with leads me to disfavor Country, Rab, and Pop. That said, I am very tolerant of other people's musical tastes except for some kinds of Rap and harsher aspects of Rock.

Food: I am very picky with foods. I like very few fruits like apples, oranges, peaches, grapes, and that's about it. I tend to like fruit juices more than the actual fruits themselves. I am not as picky with vegetables but basically the same deal. I do enjoy all sorts of pastas, pizzas, Italian foods, most Chinese foods, and some Mexican food. I tend to enjoy American hamburgers and hot dogs. I like Root beer, Mountain Dew, Vault, Dr. Pepper, Grape soda, Orange soda, but I can stand most other sodas as well. I do not particularly like alcohol that much with the small exception of some wines.
Six things I could never do without
Laptop or some other computer, cable television, my books, bike, my DVD collection and CDs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, religion, movies, music, anime, current events, social networking, writing.
On a typical Friday night I am
My typical Friday night is not much different than any other night, except the Friday before a drill is when I go to sleep early and begin preparations so I tend to be busy that day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a tendency to have forgetfulness.
You should message me if
you want to be a friend, pen pal, or you want to discuss some political, theological, philosophical argument, or you want to talk about movies.
