People say that chivalry is dead and I beg to differ. While the idea of the "nice guy" and a chivalrous man is dying it is not yet dead. I believe that a man should open doors (both car and other), use manners, treat a lady with respect, be honest, courteous, shouldn't cheat, etc.
I will listen to anything (music) and watch anything (TV movies) once, who knows what you will end up liking. I do know I am not the biggest fan of rap and country but there are some songs in both genres I like.
I am looking for someone who knows how to have fun. Must be able to try new things whether they are food, movies, places, etc. I recently have been trying all sorts of new things and it is amazing what I am finding I like. I never tried new things I stuck to what I knew and was afraid to go out of my comfort zone. Within the past few years I have realized that life is short and since we can't know for sure what comes next we have to enjoy the here and now. It is amazing how the little things make such a big difference in life.
Everyone thinks that they have their ideal match in their mind, but so many of us don't realize what we may think we want and what we really want aren't the same things. The people I have met up to this point in time have had their minds set on what the ideal partner to them might be and don't stop and think that finding the "perfect" one may not exist. Now I am not saying that people need to settle, for if I had done that very thing I probably would not be single. Just remember that even though I, or anyone for that matter, might not be exactly what you are looking for they may surprise you and be closer to what you want then you give them credit for.
I am up for talking to anyone, I really want to find some friends and I hope to find more than that.
Books - I like a little of everything, I really like Alternate History and Sci-fi, but I am up for trying anything once. I Just found the Hunger Games and am loving that series. Other examples are as follows: Dies the Fire (Series), Eragon (Series), Ender's Game (Series), The Postman, World War Z, Fahrenheit 451, The Fallen (Series), The Road, Seventh Son (Series), Conquistador, The Sky People, Empire, Old Man's War (Series), The Accidental Time Machine, etc. As you can see I love to read and this is nowhere near the full list for I would be here all day if I tried to list them all.
Movies - I watch anything and everything, now that doesn't mean I like everything but I will not discount it just because it is new and unknown. Band of Brothers, Minority Report, Dune (both classic and SciFi Channel version), Pathfinder, Inside Man, Garden State, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Stealth, Matrix, Die Hard, Red Dawn, We Were Soldiers, Tigerland, Waterworld, The Day After Tomorrow, The Postman, The Last Castle, Dracula 2000, The Terminal, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Count of Monte Cristo, Dazed and Confused, Almost Famous, The Replacements...and many others...
Music - I listen to just about everything. Not a big fan of Rap & Country, but there a few songs in each of those Genres that I enjoy. Some examples are 6 Pack Deep, AC/DC, Aerosmith, America, American Eyes, The Beatles, Black Eyed Peas, Buckcherry, Cake, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Def Leppard, Eagles, Evanescence, Everclear, Flogging Molly, Frank Sinatra, Jimmies Chicken Shack, Offspring, Ozzy Osborne, Pink Floyd, Reel Big Fish, Tourmaline, Van Halen, Van Morrison, And many, many more.
And last but not least, FOOD - Once again I am up for trying anything once (I am seeing a pattern forming and I didn't even plan it that way). I am defiantly a Meat and Potatoes guy, but I do enjoy trying exotic foods. For so long I wouldn't try anything new or different, but while I was in the Army I had to eat what they had so I got used to things I never before liked, now I try many new things.
Where I am going in life and what I wanna do with my life. I am not sure what I wanna do with my life but I really wanna figure it out so I can start moving forward
