My self-summary
I'm Michael. I'm trans, queer as fuck, and generally pissed off with the world. If you're a straight guy, I'm not interested. Move along, nothing to see here.

Look, I'm going to be frank here - I don't have a dick. I don't want a dick. If you want a guy with a dick, I am not the right guy for you.

Brief trans 101 - I'm not trapped in my body. I wasn't 'born female'. I don't have 'female' sex organs. Sex and gender are not and should not be binary. I reject gender roles. I reject pretty much everything that society has to say about gender and sex.

If you're any form of bigot, just go away. I deal with that enough day to day already. Seriously. If you don't date black people (or any specific race or ethnicity), or trans people, or disabled people, or any other oppressed group based solely on their oppression, don't contact me.

Now that that's out of the way... I'm surprisingly easygoing, despite everything that I just wrote up there. I respect boundaries. I'm quiet, bit of an introvert (but not particularly shy or socially awkward). I'm depressed, I mention it because existential depression makes up a large part of who I am. I'm unmotivated, but am trying to fix that. I'm anti-capitalist, and pro social justice. I align myself most closely with poststructural and intersectional feminism.

I don't really have a preference when it comes to my sexuality. All genders are welcome to contact me, and genitalia is largely irrelevant to me. I also welcome contact from poly people and people who are already in relationships but who are (mutually) looking for something a little extra. I'm extremely open-minded. The only thing is that I don't really want to date anyone too young, it feels creepy to me. I'm happy to be friends though, especially with queer & trans people.

I'm kinky. This isn't a requirement, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to mention.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a support officer for Trading Standards (kind of, it's complicated). It's not the most interesting job in the world, but it means I can live. I try to write, but I'm not the most motivated. I like gaming, and I watch way too much random crap on youtube.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty good at writing, when I actually get down to it.

I'm addicted to buying the humble bundle, which means I have more games than I can possibly hope to play. Steam is fun.
The first things people usually notice about me
Why don't you tell me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh, books. I could go on forever about books. My hands down favourite author is Neil Gaiman, with his Sandman graphic novels topping the list. From there, it's mostly sci-fi and fantasy, though I particularly enjoy the likes of Tad Williams, George R.R. Martin and Neal Stephenson.

I watch a lot of TV, but I'm really bad at keeping up with any of it. I think the only thing that I'm actually up to date on right now is the Great British Bake Off.

When it comes to films - if it's sci-fi, I'll watch it. But I'll also watch pretty much anything else. Unless it's romcom. Too much heterosexuality. Boring. I'm also a sucker for kids' films, especially Pixar.

I listen to music across all genres, but I'm especially fond of music that tells a story (I'm fond of stories in general). I listen to music from dubstep to bluegrass, so I'm really open-minded genre wise. I just like what I like. I love talking about music though, so if you're a music fanatic, feel free to strike up a conversation and/or give me some suggestions!
The six things I could never do without
Internet, books, friendship, family, my pets and music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I run a blog based around social justice. Three guesses what I spend a lot of time thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from working all week. Cooking dinner, maybe. Spending most of the evening on my computer, probably.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty open about it - I'm trans. It's a huge part of my life as I engage with it constantly in an effort to support other trans people, but it's also one of the most private parts of my life due to the oppression and ridicule that trans people face.
You should message me if
You're open-minded and interested. That's all. I'd rather just get to know someone than write out some list of requirements in a profile box.
