My self-summary
I enjoy: spending time talking with people, meeting strangers, reading good books, Art Nouveau, driving with the windows down, waking up really early, sleeping in really late, walking in the woods, drinking tea, writing in notebooks, doodling, laughing, playing with Legos, when it is very windy, thunderstorms, Wikipedia, living with my cat, Tudor Revival architecture, bundling up when it is cold outside, playing with cardboard, kicking leaf piles gently, sleeping under lots of blankets, eating cereal, finding things on the ground, watching people walk about, watching music get made live, finding people who are happy, StumbleUpon, etc...

I like long underwear and weather that justifies wearing it. Also, cardigans.

Also, I enjoy TED Talks. One of them once made me laugh so hard that I spilled at least 7oz of milk on myself. A few weeks went by and I tried to find it again and I couldn't. Then a few months went by and I couldn't even remember what it was about. Lovely things are sometimes lost.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm contemplating about how reasonable it would be to replace this old futon I have with a narrow cute cardboard couch. I have plenty of cardboard and many gallons of wood glue.

UPDATE: I'm no longer contemplating building any cardboard furniture. A friend of mine accused me of being a hoarder and threw half my cardboard away. A recent close call in regards to my apartment catching fire made it difficult to protest. Despite the difficulty I still protested, but he kept bending the cardboard and throwing it away. I was very angry, but after a few days I realized that it was much easier to move around and Oatmeal seemed happier, so I forgave him, mostly.
I’m really good at
Playing with Legos
The first things people usually notice about me
Sometimes people say, 'why are you angry?' But whenever they say this I'm not angry because I'm rarely angry. So probably the first thing people notice is that I look angry. Over the years I've learned to just reply, 'This is just how my face looks.' And then I scowl really hard to emphasize the condition of my face.

Unrelated:
I've noticed that occasionally people put, 'That I'm on this site,' in this section. I do not agree with that sentiment. I am an unapologetic advocate of this site. I believe the algorithm functions well. This site is great not just for meeting people but also for having interesting conversations or sporadic mailings from a pen pal stranger. And the questions provide an opportunity for introspection. People shouldn't feel embarrassed to be on here, even if they are primarily here looking for a special person. This site is not a mark of desperation anymore than smiling at strangers more frequently would be.
You should message me if
You know of a movie I might like.
You want to be my pen pal.
