My self-summary
I'm the best kind of geek: the nerdy geek. My biggest interests are sci-fi and fantasy, history, travel, reading, and photography, but I'm also into terrible procedural dramas (especially about serial killers), architecture, computers, dogs, wine, and politics. I like to have fun, go out to the pub, and spend time with friends, but I also like ~intellectual conversations~ and just hanging around watching tv (on our respective computers). I'm trying to get into cooking. I want to go everywhere and do everything at least once. I like people who are passionate about things, have interesting stories, and embrace their inner geek/nerd.

I've been told I'm funny, but mostly I think I'm ridiculous.

I'm a college librarian, though my degree's in Medieval History. I'm originally from the US but I've lived in the UK for a few years now, and I plan to stay.
What I’m doing with my life
Travelling the world, meeting interesting people, having fun, reading a lot, yelling at students
I’m really good at
Remembering useless information. Also Sudoku.
The first things people usually notice about me
My curly hair and my American accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like scifi, fantasy, bizarre nonfiction (cults, serial killers, mysteries), and history and historical fiction, but I also have a fondness for B-movies and action flicks. I'll eat pretty much anything -- I don't understand people who say they 'aren't into food.' I like tiny interesting pubs. Lately I've been itching to go to the countryside.

Fave tv shows: Community, Breaking Bad, Black Books, Fringe, Law and Order (all incarnations), The Killing, 30 Rock, Homeland, Spaced

Books: The Devil and Sherlock Holmes, A Song of Ice and Fire series, Harry Potter series, Alix of Wanthwaite series, The Historian, Bringing up the Bodies/Wolf Hall

Podcasts: Stuff You Should Know, The Bugle
The six things I could never do without
Interwebs, books, camera, sunshine, Korean food, internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much I want a dog.
On a typical Friday night I am
At the pub with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'd rather die young than go to the gym every day.
You should message me if
I'm looking for someone nice, adventurous, warm, funny, and, of course, a geek. I'm not very good at reading extreme introverts, unless said extreme introvert has no problem telling me how he feels. I'm interested in a serious relationship.

No Tories please.
