My self-summary
I can't see who likes me, so you're just going to have to message me!

Passionately progressive. Happily child-free. Science nerd. xVx. Interested in minimalism/tiny house movement. Social justice-orientated citizen journalist agitator interested in meeting people to share experiences, knowledge, downtime, cuddles (platonic or otherwise) and further romantic intimacy if we click.

My weekends usually involve covering rallies on a Saturday followed by lunch at my local pay-as-you-feel cafe on Sundays for momos before heading off to visit asylum seekers held in detention in the afternoon.

I am fueled by sarcasm.

I enjoy discussing serious topics but will also spontaneously begin a punrun.
What I’m doing with my life
I work, volunteer, cook, eat, swim, lift weights, sleep, write and play a little. My goal is to work part-time on social justice activism via writing and graphic design and spend the rest of my time volunteering.

I hang out with our two rescued bunnies a lot (see photo).
I’m really good at
...coming up with theories. In writing usually. At length.

...taking action when there is oppression, discrimination and exploitation that can be stopped. I've been told my tofu scramble is ok.

...watching movies/tv shows and listening to podcasts. I've had lots of practice.

...talking, if you get me on to a topic I have an opinion about.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a foreign accent (even though I've lived 94.8% of my life in so-called Australia).

That they've seen me at a rally before.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Science fiction and sometimes fantasy and detective novels as well as non-fiction books on science and ethics (feminism, indigeous rights, nonhuman animal rights, LGBTQIA+ rights etc).

Films/TV: Often watch science fiction, action (e.g. comics, dark comedy) and alternative movies and tv shows as well as not surprisingly science and nature documentaries. <3 Sagan and Attenborough. Red Dwarf, Firefly, Blackadder sort of tv.

Video games: I enjoy the classics, really well designed games like psychonauts, grim fandango, fallout. RPGs and adventure games. Can't stand shooters. Little time to play these days + don't have the gear.

I enjoy cooking and live on a relatively healthy nonhuman-animal-free diet as an expression of my vegan ethics. Favourite cuisines that I cook are Mexican, Thai, Indian and Japanese. I enjoy cooking for others too if they are willing to try out my experiments.
The six things I could never do without
Op shops.
Someone to talk to.
Ability to critically analyse systemic societal oppression, exploitation and discrimination.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...why people do what they do. to convince people to stop doing what they do when they're doing horrible things. to further minimalise my environmental impact on the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Nothing too amazing, hanging out with housemates playing mario kart, out for dinner with friends or on the rare occasions at a gig or film screening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If someone asks me a direct question I will not lie. So ask away ;) Just be warned I tend to answer -at length-.
You should message me if are radically progressive, ethically minded, an activist/interested in activism, enjoy science or intellectual discussions then I'd love to chat online or meet up at a decent local cafe :) You gotta be kind too, no mean people! are interested in visiting asylum seekers in immigration detention facilities.

I go to all the social justice actions cause I'm starting a citizen journalism org covering local activism. Meet me at an action maybe?
