My self-summary
Passionately progressive. Happily child-free. Science nerd. xVx. Social justice-orientated agitator who is interested in meeting people to share experiences and knowledge and downtime. I'm aware of my white perceived-as-male human privilege and feel obliged to fuck shit up until that privilege is a thing of the past.

I advocate for non-human animal rights, human rights, environmentalism, veganism, feminism, lgbtiq rights, Indigenous rights, secularism, skepticism, evidence-based reasoning and critical thinking and oppose systems of oppression, discrimination and exploitation in whatever form they come in. I spend my time writing, working as a freelance graphic designer and volunteering my time and graphic design skills with different campaigns and organisations.

I'm interested in relationship anarchy, treating each and every personal relationship as its own unique entity that can't be reduced down to the generic social normative concepts of 'friendship', 'relationship' or 'open relationship'. The rules of each relationship are determined by the individuals involved through communication and mutually voluntary agreement rather than rigid assumed adherence to social norms. I have no time for the institute of marriage.

I identify as agender so they/their/them pronouns would be nice :) I am also against gendering pretty much everything, as gendering doesn't really make much sense when you think about it.
What I’m doing with my life
I work, volunteer, cook, eat, swim, lift weights, sleep, write and play a little. My goal is to work part-time on social justice activism via writing and graphic design and spend the rest of my time volunteering.

I hang out with our two rescued bunnies a lot (see photo).
I’m really good at
Explaining things. In writing.

Taking action when there is oppression, discrimination and exploitation that can be stopped.

Cooking. I've been told my tofu scramble is ok.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a foreign accent (even though I've lived 94.8% of my life in so-called Australia).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a big fan of ska, as I can listen to at any time by anyone (because if it's done badly then it isn't ska): Madness, Bad Manners, Skatalites, The Selecter, The Slackers, The English Beat, Reel Big Fish, The Pietasters, Might Mighty Bosstones.

Also an eclectic mix of alt/punk/etc: Ben Folds/Five, TMBG, Regurgitator, Less Than Jake, Machine Gun Fellatio, Ok Go, NOFX, Propagandhi, Rise Against, Talking Heads, The Aquabats, The Beatles, The Dandy Warhols, PUSA.

I read science fiction and sometimes fantasy and detective novels as well as non-fiction books on science and nature.

Often watch science fiction, action (e.g. comics, dark comedy) and alternative movies and tv shows as well as not surprisingly science and nature documentaries. <3 Sagan and Attenborough. Red Dwarf, Firefly, Blackadder sort of tv.

I enjoy cooking and live on a healthy plant-based diet as an expression of my vegan ethics. Favourite cuisines that I cook are Mexican, Thai, Indian and Japanese.
The six things I could never do without
Give me food, water, shelter, clothes, public transportation and a social justice campaign to work on and I'm happy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
thinking, why people do what they do, how to improve my and others' activism. I think about how the world works and try to understand as much of it as possible, coming from a intersectionalist, social justice, naturalist, monist, atheist, evidence-based and critical thinking perspective.
On a typical Friday night I am
eating out with friends, at home doing work, cooking up a storm, rescuing animals, bottle feeding rescued animals or getting an early night before a massive (activism-orientated) weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If someone asks me a direct question I will not lie. So ask away ;) Just be warned I tend to answer -at length-.
You should message me if
you are radically progressive (no neoliberal cooptationists please), ethically minded, an activist/interested in activism, healthy/interested in being healthy or enjoy science or intellectual discussions then I'd love to chat online or meet up at a decent local cafe :) You gotta be kind too, no mean people :P
