My self-summary
I'm some weird guy who lives in Cincinnati. I read voraciously, watch a lot of movies, and spend too much time in front of computers.

(I am not terribly awesome at talking about myself, I think)

Update: new thing I have noticed about myself...i seem to have developed a predisposition to red teas and white cocoa. Now that I have started cutting back a bit on my coffee consumption, I find myself drinking one or the other near constantly.

I am trying to learn to draw again (and doing passably well, I hope), I'm writing a great deal more than ever before (largely thanks to google docs), and giving photography another go.

I am a humanist existentialist, with Emerson, Nietzsche, Murry Rothbard, Virginia Postrel, and Kafka strongly influencing. (the former of which is whom my cat is named after)

Also, I am an enormous computer nerd. I am a constant and rapacious reader, a lifetime libertarian, a unrepentant gamer (think: dice), and an avid movie-goer.

I also enjoy going to clubs, movies, cafe's, museums, and libraries. And I am often trying to find new people to hang out with.

I walk an awful lot.

I am engaging, interesting, and affectionate
What I’m doing with my life
I read a great deal. Lately the equivalent of a paperback book every other day, not counting email, internet news, wikipedia, and such.

Currently, I am doing helpdesk support (again). My job is very tolerable, and when its slow I get to read. Thus...I can only complain about work so much.
I’m really good at
I'm an excellent cook. I am also passably good at fiddling with computer hardware. Despite being an introvert, I can yammer on quite a bit, given the opportunity.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wear a great deal of gray and black, amybe?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) mostly Fantasy, Horror, some sci-fi, historical and contemporary fiction, mythology and occultism, a smattering of English literature from the past two centuries. Pulling authors at random: Barker, Dickens, King, Lovecraft, Herbert (Frank, but Brian is alright too), Frank Baum, V. Postrel, Gaiman, Delillo, Poe...lots more
(b) Movies: Dark City, The Crow, LOTR trilogy, most of the Hellraiser movies, Deadpool, X-men (recent films), most of the MCU, The Specials, Quills, Scott Pilgrim, Star Wars, Kick Ass, Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Star Trek, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Midnight Meat Train, Limitless, most of the new marvel movies, and quite a few others.
(c) shows: The Magicians, Super Mansions, Rick and Morty, Game of Thrones, Venture Bros., Dexter, Rome, Carnivale, Millennium, a lot of stuff that isn't on the air anymore. I don't usually watch tv
(d) music...jeez, I listen to everything, and listen to it quite frequently
(e) where to start...I love Indian food, Sushi, Thai, Mediterranean, soups, stews. I use the crock pot a great deal. I love shark. Its great grilled with hot sauce. I enjoy a very large variety of dishes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to get better at some of my hobbies. I would also love to travel more often. I used to get out of town a couple times a year. I've had few opportunities to do so recently.
On a typical Friday night I am
Cloistered in front of a computer or over at a friend's place.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I truly adore freeze-dried ice cream.
