My self-summary
An east coaster to the core -- in Texas settling into my dream job. Another year or 2 and I'll be headed out again to enjoy everything the world has to offer. Originally from Washington DC area, though lived in Los Angeles too. I say what I mean and mean what I say. When I am not working as Sr Strategy Analyst with an amazing Fortune 50 company, I'm SCUBA diving. I love what I do by day. The opportunity I have in Houston is unbeatable. It is the only thing holding me here. If you have the attitude of "Texas is amazing," we wont get along. Texas has its pluses but it isn't "the best place on earth." I am passionate about everything I do, including relationships. There is 0 and 10, not much in between. I have no kids, no house and am fully flexible. I have worked hard to get to where I am and am at a place I can enjoy the life I have built. Travel buddies, fellow adventurers, and those that aren't looking to settle into the "white picket fence" feel free to message.
What I’m doing with my life
I work hard and I play hard. I am past the point of a 9-5 though I have a decent amount of flexibility. My boss is absolutely AMAZING and I love what I do day to day. Like everyone else there are days that are hard or you just kinda wanna pull a blanket over your head. Most of my days I bounce, relatively, out of bed and enjoy going into work.

My world is simple and I have worked extremely hard to keep it that way. I have no house, no kids, no real family obligations. Rent is often considered throwing money away --- in my world it is a choice to be able to pick up and move when I want and call someone when something breaks and ask them to take care of it. Mortgages are not what I am against -- it's EVERYTHING else that comes with a house I have no interest in. My world can fit in my car if need be, and I can move to another state within a week's notice. (It is how I landed in Texas.)

My current position and company are laying the groundwork for me to be able to move out of the country, if I choose. If I stay Seattle with be the next city I call home. I have built a life that in the next year or 2 will fully turn into something I can telecommute....SO the world is my oyster and I intend to keep it that way.

I am looking for someone with a free spirit who has built a life that allows for so. I started SCUBA diving for my 30th and plan to get my pilot's license for my 40th. It is possible I will own a plane before a house/condo. My dive gear is the most expensive thing I own.

When I am not working I am diving. I am an assistant instructor with 200+ dives in roughly 2 years. I've converted a few new divers to dive obsessed :) My next trip is cage diving with great whites. I am also planning to head to China to dive the sunken city and the great wall of china. (Yes you can dive it too).
I’m really good at
All depends who you ask....
- Exploring cities/adventure/planning great trips
- Getting people out of their comfort zones
- Making people feel comfortable and opening up
- Analytical Problem Solving
The first things people usually notice about me
Adventurous, red hair, energy level, easy to talk to about pretty much anything and my emotions show on my face and in my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books/Authors: Sex and Power, SLUT, The Diary of a Madame, Being an Expat, Anything by Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Maya Angelou, and Madeline Albright.

Movies - American President (Politics is perception and perception is people's reality), Primal Fear (Norton's best and Laura Linney is awesome!) or the Illusionist. Ironman and the Avengers too. Because of LA , I notice lots of little technical aspects of movies from being around the industry.

Music -- Everything from Jazz to Techno, though more upbeat. Everything but the Girl is my favorite band, other favorites include Janet Jackson, Madonna, Billy Joel, Genesis, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi.

I have seen a ridiculous number of concerts/shows while in Houston(and somehow have become sorta a regular at HOB): Trombone Shorty, Darcy James Argue's Secret Society (Big Band), Avenue Q, Suicide Girls Burlesque, Kathleen Madigan, Tran Siberian Orchestra (2x), BB King, Eric Clapton, Bruno Mars, Boney James, Matchbox 20, The Goo Goo Dolls, STOMP, Courtney Love, Sugar Ray, Fastball, Smash Mouth, Gin Blossoms, Maroon 5, Cher, Pat Benetar, Odd Ball Comedy Festival, Bill Cosby, Kevin Nealon, and Houston Symphony's 50 Years of James Bond and Beyond and Luck Be A Lady: A Night of Frank Sinatra, 100 Years of Broadway and Lindsey Sterling, Billy Joel, Madonna and Trombone Shorty. Currently I have tickets for: The Goo Goo Dolls, Joan Jet, Hall and Oats, Bryan Adams and Janet Jackson.

Food - I am very much a foodie and enjoy everything from high end experiences to holes in the wall. I love sushi but hate the smell of cooked fish, nor am I a huge fan of pasta. I love spicy and cultural foods! Tapas is by far the best style to eat.
Six things I could never do without
Computer, blackberry (no touch screen for me), airline tickets, adventure, updates on current events, and independence.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much I love what I do and how the opportunity I was just handed is extremely visible. Starting to create a new plan for the next chapter of my life. Getting back to living a healthier lifestyle, the next SCUBA dive (anytime I get in the water I am happy).
On a typical Friday night I am
Grabbing a beer later in the evening or relaxing at home. Usually need the downtime. I have been up fairly early Saturdays starting my weekend adventures, while Sundays are for sleeping in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not looking to have kids of my own, maybe adoption one day or step kids. Someone mentioned to me this seemed out of place, but this is a dating site and my biggest pet peeve is wasting people's time. (mine and others).
You should message me if
You are interested in friends first and foremost. If more develops my life allows me the flexibility for whatever comes my way. Let's grab a beer and see where it leads.
