My self-summary
Klaus Nomi Malone is perhaps an apt name to describe my personality. A mix of high and low culture is my game, along with fervent debate about what distinguishes them.

I hope to one day be a runner up in a Liz Lemon pageant. I can serve a sickening 40 yr old who has her glamor streaks. Like Liz, I am ardent about my politics and my food. I love a good debate over food and about food. Gastronomical adventurer, I'm looking for someone to try grasshopper tacos with.

I'm also a big queer community supporter, so you'll find out me out a few days a week. I don't come at it from a party perspective though, just hanging out and fostering community. Like my mentor, Lemon, I do enjoy the fineries of the homestead as well. Unlike Lemon, I am a busy body who finds sitting around difficult but trying to learn that doing nothing is doing something.
What I’m doing with my life
Animator and Artist. It doesn't pay the bills right now but I never expected it to. Fund your passions is what I say.

Outside of work and animation, I participate in a wide array of activities. Currently considering a drag act, rapping, and other performance. I like to perform, whether through animated characters or myself.

I also dabble in coding but getting a little rusty. Technology is so fast paced these days. Damn Mohr's law! Want to move my process open source and participate in asset sharing. Creative commons and digital accessibility are big corner stone in my life.
I’m really good at
"You're a good dancer." is something I've heard once or twice. I'm not a serious dancer, nor have I trained at the Bolshoi. I just like to have fun and explore my body. It's a high and low again, corny dance moves to Judson modernist dance.

Great outdoors men here. I can start a fire and I remember one or two knots from my scouting days. Love camping. Time in the woods is necessary when your jungle is forged of concrete?

I like to think of myself as a decent draftsman. Always working on that. Creative problem solving and being a shoulder one can count on.

I am also good at quiz games and vast arrays of knowledge.

I am also on a kick lately of coming up with drag names(drag kings too because every performer needs a good name). Some favorites are: Anette Dotte(for the librarian queen), Colon Bolus(for the King), Tina Turnedher(a Lesbian Tina Turner who likes turning out bi-curious women). I really enjoy wordplay and language in general. If you do too, check out Lexicon Valley podcast. I love it so hard!!!
The first things people usually notice about me
Right now, it's my hair!!! I have the luscious curls of a hair commercial, on non humid days. Summer bummer!! I have shoulder length hair that's vivacious and bouncy. Sometimes I'll wrap her up in a fab turban or cinch her back if she be misbehaving.

I may be recognizable, but I can be in my shell at first which doesn't take long to lure me out of. Once I get talking, I'm typically remembered for wit and intelligence. I also flock from group to group with a diverse crowd. Talk about *Gemini*
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Admittedly, I may be more a short form guy(newspapers, magazines, journals, blogs, PODCASTS) but I am returning to deeper experience. Currently reading: The Queer Art of Failure by Judith Halberstamm

I reread this section several times and I keep forgetting food. It's important to me and appreciated. I am down for anything. Very vegan friendly.
Six things I could never do without
Peanut Butter
pen and paper
My leatherman multi utility tool
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future and the past, especially when it comes to work. Not the present too much, which kind of worries me. I kind of want to be more present in the present?

I also daydream a lot about art projects. Trying to think things through or sketch something in my mind's eye.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either home or out. I go out out 2 to 3 times a week but to specific events or parties, not a routine. No local bar or spot. That may mean a Tuesday or Wed night out, but I am very cautious about my schedule for the day after.

If I am home on a Fri night, I am working on some art and relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just taught myself to ride a bike last year!!! By myself. I am pretty proud of being able to accomplish that and over come the stigma we place on those who can't ride bikes. I feel I can relate to the aphorism finally. Currently looking to use it as a mode of transportation around the borough but it's a scary thought.

I filled most of this profile out after I took a sleeping pill. May that be a grain of salt?

I'm really 5' 5" but I wear boots regularly, even in the summer, so with a heel I am 5' 6". It's like a whole new world up there.
You should message me if
Because I struck, or plucked, a cord somewhere in this summation of my being. Don't be afraid to say "Hi." I don't think it's lame. Openers are hard for me too.
