The things I am most passionate about:
how life expands when it's shared. theatre (especially in london),music from bach to sondheim to springsteen (levine conducting the boston symphony, bruce in concert anywhere), close friends, art (Rembrandt self portraits,matisse), books and ideas, travel (sunset on the beach in St. Martin), stimulating conversations, the british museum, history, cosmology, good food and wine (french chocolates)
The most important things I am looking for in a person are:
emotional sensitivity, intelligence, the ability to really listen to what is happening in a relationship

The last book I read and enjoyed:
Antony Sher's "Year of the King" is an actor's production diary as he prepared for his breakthrough role at Stratford, as Richard III. It is filled with the craft of the theatre as he builds up the character, bit by bit . But Sher then digs deeper: as the ultimate outsider, a gay Jewish South African, he has to take on the ghost of Olivier in his head. The result was one of the most thrilling performances I have ever seen
