My self-summary
I love life, music, films, literature, humor, hanging out and enjoying these with friends. Basically an ambivert, learning toward extrovert - I am very social, enjoy attending live music, arts and film events, but also enjoy recharging at home, working in the garden, cooking and watching films. I enjoy going to movies, eating good food - trying new places, frequenting favorites - engaging in good, long, deep conversations, and being in nature and by water. Not much gets me down except shallow, insincere, judgmental or myopic-sighted people, and people who don't care at least a little about global issues such as environmental impact and sustainability.
What I’m doing with my life
Radio show DJ (eclectic mix of most genres, but mainly punk, post-punk, garage, psych, indie-rock, classic rock, experimental, old-time country), a radio documentary producer on arts, history and culture, and oral history book author. A freelance journalist on arts. Spare time . . . cooking, reading, listening to music, working on health, gardening, herbalism. Hoping to get back into playing fiddle soon.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, feel comfortable and open up, sharing stories and delighting in arts experiences. Communicating, reading/intuiting people, and with predicting arts/music trends. I'm a good cook, great pickler. Great with cats and pretty good with plants. : )
The first things people usually notice about me
People say I'm vivacious with a joyful spirit that lights up the room. My green eyes, my voice, my smile.

Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next book I'm writing. Ways to improve self and mind. The state of the environment in decline, loss of wildlife habitat, climate change. Also, events I'll attend near future. Next travel plans - hopefully to San Francisco and Iceland this next year.
On a typical Friday night I am
Seeing live music with friends or a movie, or just hanging out at a fave bar/pub having beers and conversation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I'm shy. I don't know how to flirt.
You should message me if
You have a great sense of humor, sometimes irreverent, are sincere, thoughtful, self-confident, authentic, kind, intelligent, open-minded, self-expressive, don't mind an inquisite nature, creative, interested in at least a few similar things, enjoys going to live music and events at least nearly as much as I do . . . doesn't care about sports. Loves to converse and go deep, talk about ideas, a good listener. Awesome if you're a music-lover, and even better, enjoy lit, films but also cozying while binge-watching awesome thriller, drama or sci-fi series. Points if you like to cook.
Or, if you relate to, or bear similarity to Eric Burden of the Animals ; )
