I'm a laid-back, creative, generally pleasant human being; I am easily excited by trying new things, ideas, and making stuff; I'm a little bit geeky, but not as much as I would like to be.
I'm a classically trained musician, and my favourite new thing to do is act, so it's fair to say I enjoy being on stage. I'm not shy, but I sometimes have to remind myself to make small talk, which sometimes leads to people thinking I am. Oh well.
I make my living teaching music to people of varying ages, notably in various schools around London, and it's a fine job to have for now. It does take up more of my time than I would like, but given how many people seem to be unemployed at the moment I don't think I'll complain too loudly. Some of my students are really smart and curious, and I genuinely enjoy teaching them.
I quite enjoy a quiet evening at home, going to see a show, taking various classes (acting, for example), going on long walks in the city, cooking strange new foods (well, I'm a vegetarian, so not too strange), reading, train rides, and other intellectually adventurous activities. I have a hard time with the 'drinking as a leisure activity' thing, but I do like a good chat with an interesting person.
I'm currently in an open relationship, but I'm not really the slutty type; I tend to pursue a small number of meaningful relationships rather than hold on to lots of vague acquaintances. The same goes for both friendships and romances. I'm a very open-minded and adventurous person in the right circumstances, but if you're after a quick tumble I'm probably not what you're after.
It's worth mentioning as well that I'm transgendered- I used to be a woman. I pass easily and am generally not hung up about it, but if it weirds you out then, again, I may not be what you're looking for. And again, oh well!
Also the bass clarinet (the instrument I trained on), and cooking.
I'm also a fantastic snuggler, just ask my cat.
