My self-summary
I am outspoken and passionate. I always wave at small children. I have been known to give directions to tourists and then ask them to pay it forward by standing on the right hand side of the escalator in the Metro.
What I’m doing with my life
Researching Harry Potter for academic conferences is part of my job as an instruction and reference librarian while earning yet another graduate degree. I just finished an independent study on disability in young adult novels that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I’m really good at
*Thinking of five different ways to say the same thing. It's really helpful when I'm teaching or am at the reference desk and can help someone reframe their question.

*Being exuberantly articulate.

*Singing. Especially harmony, either written or improvised.

I just took a mini poll and the consensus was that I'm talkative - in a good way.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thinking. It sounds odd, I know, but then so am I. :-p

The proper use of elipses...

The fact that I ever thought I was an introvert.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have an irrational fear of burning my tongue and an irrational fear of dropping my keys down a storm drain or elevator shaft.
You should message me if
You don't mind that I might not tell you my first name right away. I have a strong internet presence and a very unique name, so I prefer to get to know people first.
