My self-summary
I tend to be happy, sincere, and thoughtful most of the time, which some people find to be awesome and others find to be annoying. I guess you have to decide.
I like to eat good food, exercise naturally (hiking, practicing circus skills, etc.), relax, and converse. I seem to constantly be planning my homestead / intentional community / farm that I will one day be a part of with my friends. Until then I garden when I can, create costumes, play games, and take part in awesome silliness and adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
I try to stay active and balance time for myself, with friends and family. I spend a good bit of time outside, whether it is working on the conversion of my lawn into a food forest (a multi-year project), hiking, camping, going to burns, or a totally random adventure.
I spend time practicing aikido, playing with light sabers, teaching myself leather working, sewing, and crafting in general. I can make anything and love a good challenge.
I’m really good at
laughing (at myself and everything else in life), being happy, loving, understanding other people, learning, cooking, baking, solving problems, building things, making amazing (or terrible) puns and jokes, and seeing patterns in everything around me.
The first things people usually notice about me
People usually notice my smile, my easy laughter, my strange mix of intensity and laid back attittude, or how I tend to pay attention to things like the clouds or stars more than normal.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Far too many to list. By the time I get done, I would look at it and feel that everything is in the wrong order or that I left out important ones. Also, it would be more fun to talk about this in person.
I tend to be drawn to movies that are about super heroes as much as I am drawn to thoughtful films with deep stories. I have only seen a few 'terrible' movies, and I still enjoyed them for the sheer entertainment that the terribleness provided.
Alias was a favorite show of mine. I have seen every episode of every star trek series (including movies and some fan films) except the last season of Enterprise. Give me a few months and I will finish. haha. My favorite show is How It's Made but overall, I don't spend a lot of time watching TV at all.
Food: I try to eat what I call 'healthy food' which is food that is grown as naturally as possible. My job forces me to eat out for lunch sometimes, so I forgive myself for that. But when it comes to cooking, I cook a lot of Venison (I get it from local hunters) and veggies. noms! My strictness comes and goes so it depends on the season. Summer is bacon season.
The six things I could never do without
my brain, friends, spiritual connections, love, great conversations, laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Love in a divine and intrinsic sense. Patterns in life. Homesteading. Crazy fantasy adventure stories. Building biodiesel/electric hybrid cars. Community and how it works. What makes people do what they do. Why cupcakes are so popular today. Life in general.
On a typical Friday night I am
Being my goofy, geeky self. Playing games. Going camping. Having an adventure. Or just sitting at home relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You have to ask, but I am willing to tell you anything.
You should message me if
You like adventure. You can think of off the wall questions to ask me. You are looking for a really cool friend. You feel that your beliefs are in line with mine.
