I figured that I'd talk about my experience in San Diego rather then what every other guy says - Which is, "I'm a good listener, sensitive, caring, and thoughtful person...who sometimes likes to stay in and watch a movie or go out to a restaurant."
San Diego is beautiful because pretty much everyday the sky is a perfect blue and vegetation grows wildly throughout. If you ever get to go to California, try to find the flower of a passion fruit. It's the most amazing and intricate work of nature you'll ever see. The ocean is aqua and it goes on forever ...and the waves are perfect for surfing....which I've tried but it's quite challenging, but fun though. I did manage to get up on the board for some small waves. This gave me just enough of a taste to try it next summer. There's your pick of beaches from San Diego to LA. Venice Beach made feel like I was in the 60's. All of the beaches are wonderful as well.
As for the surroundings (as a whole) the colors and designs they use from their architecture to their advertisements to their clothing all make up the definition of what cool is. In my opinion, Southern Cali sets the precedent of this.
I hope to move their some day....Who knows.
