My self-summary
I'm now here mainly just for journals and finding platonic friends of either gender for my wife and I. Preferably cool people with kids.

I ramble from tangent to tangent, deal with it.

2005- I usually consider myself kind of eclectic, generally in a good way. It seems to be getting harder and harder for people to offend me.

2006- Apparently this profile was compelling enough to convince a gorgeous woman on here to contact me. She spent a few weeks wooing me, promised a lot of stalking, coffee and porn.

We now cuddle quite a lot, spend a lot of time on rooftops throwing Uncrustables at pedestrians and poking lizards.

2008- I am married to said gorgeous woman with a small splendid babby. In school again riding my wife's benefits to an MIS degree. Life is good.

2011-Just finished my BS in Information Management, now looking for a job, 'working' as a house husband, I say house manager and currently learning more programming languages.

2012- Got a damn good job combining what I used to do best- investigate fraud and what I went to school for- systems analysis.

I love art, independence, good beer, any music that shows actual creativity and effort on the artist's part.

I love seeing beautiful women smile at me.

The way I usually judge whether I know someone or not is if I can get them something their life wouldn't be complete without, but they didn't know existed.

Cuddling is my preferred medium of communication.

I am fubbly, random, and ham.
What I’m doing with my life
10 years of experience investigating telecom fraud got me...not that far. Add a Bachelor's, mix some creative googlings = I more than double my last salary and now having a lot of fun, even at work.

Try to make things better than I found them when.

Still learning new stuff.

This is very old, I and now outdated. I am leaving it in because I might lose it from my head otherwise.---I find it funny that I spend most of my free time hanging out with a bunch of stoned Jews, polyamorous Pagan sci-fi fans or one very loud Satanist. It has really been affecting my outlook on life. I have also been heavily influenced by a lesbian Catholic conservative carpet saleswoman (yes I am serious).

Apparently I'm about to learn to play guitar. A friend has given me a guitar and all associated supplies to learn to make cacophonous noise, cacophonous it shall be.
I’m really good at
Finding random things, helping friends through their problems, collecting media.
The first things people usually notice about me
I see the world differently. Some people can't see the forest for the trees. I usually see the bush nobody noticed and the man making love to a vampire with a monkey on his knee.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lately I have been finding all of my new music from the NPR All Songs Considered podcast

This is all from 2006 or before-
Generally I like music, movies and art where I can tell the artists are creating the work because they are either having fun (Frank Zappa, Acid Mothers Temple, George Clinton, Samuel L Jackson, Lloyd Kaufman), they feel the muse compelling them to and will go insane if they don't have the thought documented (Terry Gilliam, Radiohead, Sun Ra) or someone has a random idea to play a piece in a new way (Mike Patton or Easy Dub All-Stars reggae version of Dark Side of the Moon).

2012- As I am now old I think my music tastes have become less extreme, now I also listen to a lot of podcasts and books so I don't have that much time to explore. I love Adele, Mumford & Sons, Tool, Puscifer, Recoil, maybe some other stuff.

Podcasts- Smodcast, TWIT,

V.A.L.I.S., anything by Douglas Adams, Culture Jam (by the editor of Adbusters), Another Roadside Attraction, Still Life With Woodpecker, other Tom Robbins stuff, Red Dwarf (B) Requiem for a Dream, Trust, Nowhere, Schizopolis, Tromeo & Juliet, Save the Tiger, Titus (the Anthony Hopkins movie, not the show, Hidden Fortress, Perfect World, End of Violence, The Fifth Element, City of Lost Children, Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb, American Pop, Ghost in the Shell, Yellow Submarine, Mindwalk, Naked, Magic Christian, Postsecret (also very 2005).

Six things I could never do without
In no order Coffeehouse, iPod and music in general, cameras, caffeine and who knows what else.

Women, despite all the pain they cause I love them.

2012-my small babby
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to find ways to describe myself besides what I do and what I have.

How to make things, the world and myself better.

Don't you think in a world thats turned its back on god, air guitar represents man's absolute capacity for belief in the unseen?

Is it progress if a cannibal uses a fork?

Trying to see gravity, time and darkness.

How many parallel universes are there hiding in my clothes.

I want to learn Icelandic to understand what Bjork, Royksopp and Sigur Ros (for the rare times they actually use language) are singing about.

I was by Franklin Roosevelt's side on the night before he died. He said, "one world must come out of World War II" (ah, the fool) "Yankee, Russian, white or tan," he said, "a man is still a man. We're all on one road, and we're only passing through."
Leonard Cohen, Passing Through

I have a plugin for Firefox that tells me the status of Abe Vigoda at all times. Right now, he is... alive. (2005)

Smuckers makes these little peanut butter and jelly sanwiches in this cute little pocket of bread that you just defrost and eat, kind of like a Cornish pasty. I reallllly want to take a bunch of them up on a roof and throw them at people, just to see the look on their faces when they get hit by a little gooey ball of peanut buttery goodness. (2005)

How to perform cuddlingus.

Random social rules I try to uphold and smack stupid people who ignore them- Do not get a tattoo in another language unless you can actually speak that language or have some association to that culture. Do not yell into your cellphones. Be at least somewhat sensible and sensitive about when and where you use your cellphone.

2012-Do not ignore real people and experiences in favor of electronics and distant fantasies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Might be at Code til Dawn, or probably sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm feeling fat and sassy.

I don't believe in any sort of afterlife, higher power, all knowing being or anything resembling religion.

I have airport holy water because my best friend is either insane or a figment of my imagination.

My purpose in life is to be happy and see people I care about happy.
You should message me if
You have something interesting to say, something for me to ponder, or want some advice with random questions. You have suggestions for good music, art, media or other things I might like.

New addition- if someone knows something interesting to do around St. Louis, please let me know.

BTW- as long as I am relatively awake and sober I usually use relatively good grammar, spelling and capitalization.

The two of us
