My self-summary
I grew up as a military brat. I bounced around different parts of the country. This has left me with a strong sense of who I am. The world around me can be swirling, but I find myself to be a calm center.

I am also a total geek into amime, video games, thought-provoking TV and movies. I like being able to distract myself but not be disengaged.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Dallas and started a dream job. I don't know how I lucked into it, but I am excited for the work and a new location. I am hoping to get out and make some friends, find stuff to do, and generally have a life.
I’m really good at
I LOVE plentiful puns, witty wordplay, sublime rhyme, and awesome alliteration.

I'm analytical and I have good empathy. I analyze situations and I am careful of others' feelings. Sometimes this means I am too slow to act but I am working on that. However, it's good in that I don't needlessly provoke arguments over silly things. Usually.

I love charades and games like it. I have a lot of fun acting out funny scenarios or trying to communicate with weird limitations. So Time's Up, Telephone Pictionary, and Apples to Apples are a sure way to have an enjoyable time with a group for me.
The first things people usually notice about me
After my weight, people notice my intelligence pretty quick. Something about the way I say things or what I am saying.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love sci/fi and fantasy books. I read so many of them as a kid. I love Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. I love Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series as well. Now I read more philosophy or non-fiction books. I am really open to any good book though.

Movies: I love The Truman Show. I can explain more in person if you want to know why. I also love The Fifth Element, such a fun movie. Otherwise, I tend to like the odd, cerebral movies like Memento, Pi, and Donnie Darko.

Music: I like music with a lot of depth and texture. I don't really listen much to the radio anymore. Some bands I like include Hooverphonic, Massive Attack, Lamb, Portishead, Air, Goldfrapp, Zero7, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation, Daft Punk, Fiona Apple, Emiliana Torrini, amongst many others.

Food: I'm a vegetarian and I love a lot of asian and italian foods. Some good curry or a nice pasta primavera with lots of garlic. MMMM.
The six things I could never do without
I must have goals, my family, my close friends, music, a good book, and time to collect my thoughts every day.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh wow. I think a lot about just damn near everything. I do tend to focus on philosophy and metaphysics though.

Lately, I've been thinking more about goals and trying to devote my mental energy to getting where I expect myself to be in 10 years.
On a typical Friday night I am
Oddly enough, Fridays are my least busy night. I am usually catching up on TV I missed that previous week.

I have been working hard at getting out more and it seems I have been successful. I have friends over once a week at least. I go out with friends at least one other night a week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tend to be somewhat private, I already struggled to fill in the rest of this. I'll promise to work on finding something to put in here.
You should message me if
You like silly puns and enjoy witty banter back and forth.

Do you like Firefly, Arrested Development, or the Venture Brothers? If so, we can probably get along.
