My self-summary
I just moved to Salt Lake City after living in Brooklyn for the past 10 years, and I'm very excited to be living somewhere that's not New York City, even if it means leaving behind New York pizza and bagels. I probably spend too much time watching and writing about movies and tv shows, but it hasn't seemed to hurt me too much so far. I'm a big fan of sports, dogs, and good pizza. Chances are I'm very excited about some movie about to open (I used to be more specific but I got tired of having to update what movie it was so my profile ended up saying how excited I was about the new Muppet movie for far too long)
What I’m doing with my life
Working in film and television while trying not to get burned out on film and television. Learning how to cook more things (I recently hit double digits!). Trying to find the world's best hotdog (current leader is Walter's in Westchester).
I’m really good at
Anything requiring obscure movie or sports knowledge (this makes me a very handy pub trivia or trivial pursuit player and gives me the chance to show off). Butchering karaoke songs. Putting together themed movie nights. Cooking one of the 10+ things that I'm able to cook well.
The first things people usually notice about me
Normally I'd say it's my curly hair, but it's uncharacteristically short right now (it'll grow back).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything at all by Michael Chabon. Also, Christopher Bram, William Goldman, Glen David Gold, all things Harry Potter (I suppose the 4th book if I have to choose just one, but that hardly seems fair), The Little Prince, The Natural, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

Movies: I probably shouldn't start listing movies, because it'll go on far too long. I'll just say that despite how many pretentious art films I own (and I own more than a couple), I still think Back to the Future is the greatest movie every made.

Shows: Lots and lots. I'm currently in mourning over the loss of Parks and Rec. I also love Game of Thrones, The Americans, Rectify, You're the Worst, and The New Girl (I'm as shocked as anyone at how funny that show is).

Music: A random assortment. Mostly 90s hits that I still know all the words to despite not having heard them in years. Also, Bruce Springsteen, Dan Bern, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Meatloaf (yup, Meatloaf), and a surprising amount of 80s hair metal.

Food: Appetizers, preferably something stuffed with something else. Doesn't even really matter what they are. There are few things I enjoy more than eating an assortment of different appetizers. If I could eat nothing but them, I would be very happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably with friends at a bar. Or maybe at one of our apartments playing games and watching movies. Or maybe passed out from an exhausting week. But probably at a bar.
You should message me if
Anything in here made you at all curious to know more. You don't mind me rambling about things I like. You have stuff you're also passionate about that you like to ramble on. Or you just really liked the new Muppet movie.
